Im seeing some people having more an issue of her being glammed then her breastfeeding. Which is quite hilarious to me considering her profession. And the fact other models post themselves being glammed 24/7 yet Gisele does 1 time and its on CNN news. But actually she has an outpouring of support, its the media who makes everything she does a big deal.

Yeah its really no big deal...baby has to eat and all that. I actually think that it is other mothers that start the backlash...especially ones that cant breastfeed. I had a baby the same week as Vivian was born and my hat goes of to Gisele for still being able to maintain a supply! Breastfeeding is a huge commitment
It's totally not an American thing. We're not prudes and even if I were a prude, breastfeeding is not something I consider controversial or shocking. It's just that it is so unnecessary to display something so private. I get that it's natural and a very beautiful act between a mother and child, but it doesn't mean that it should be shown in public. She can share her positive experiences breastfeeding without actually showing the whole world pictures of her doing it.
