there's a post on ebay saying that auth. nightingales have a black lining. is this true?

my first edition maxi had a light gray lining. my black distressed patent maxi has a black lining, the following season. and love it! this season's linings vary... my next maxi has a cream lining, i think. p.s. i only support authentic goods.

the different linings are really confusing which is why I thought I would ask especially since I've seen authentic nightingales with different colored linings, as people have been confirming. IMO it also makes counterfeiting that much easier.

the lining thing is a very confusing subject.
most of the current season bags still do have the calico lining.

ex tfs member brian & i are working on a blog for nightingales & givenchy bags (similar to what ateliernaff had for balenciaga).

ooooooh! RAD! cant wait to se that, im sure it'll be very helpful to a lot of people....and it seems like givenchy bags aren't as popular as others, like b-bags, so no-one has done it yet...

BTW~ what ever happened to brian? he used to crack me up. i loved his posts too!

^ the actual leather piece doesn't seem to be broken. The ring is though.

did the ring just come open or is it actually broken?
i know you can buy rings like that at craft or jewelry supply stores...just buy a replacement one and clamp it down with some pliers.
if the original one just came open ,you can close it again with a pair of pliers.

SOO stupid. I returned mine to Barneys and am having major remorse!!! Does anyone know where I could find a medium black w/gold hardware? Desperate here...sick that I returned mine. I tried Intermix, Barneys...maybe Givenchy stores directly? If someone might be able to track one down I'd be FOREVER grateful!

have you checked barneys in san francisco?
they only had black and brown the last time i was there...

^ thank you, yes I called SF but every Barneys is sold out in the black medium I am getting a purple medium though instead, but I'm not sure what it actually looks like colorwise - asking the SA tomorrow if it's burgundy or eggplant as I think there's two diff shades??? Still pining for the plain black medium though it's impossible to find thanks to Ms. Richie

will do! Just called the SA - he said it's definitely a true eggplant color with no maroon tones.

I love the Nightingale so bloody much!!.... I have one complaint though, the side of the strap which holds it.... the gunmetal there has started to go bronze on the inside.. I'm quite disappointed as I would expect it to last longer.

Don't really think there is anything I can do about it though...
With that said, If this bag comes out in a fun colour like UNIQ's blue patent, I am snapping it up!

^ yeah, I remember brian telling me something about that.. the gunmetal color from his hardware rubbing off to bronze on one of the rings and especially the zippers.
