Givenchy F/W 07.08 Paris

I like it. For some reason, as with Dior, there's this need to return to old glamour. But I sense a practical aspect with these clothes. They're very dramatic, but light.

There are some horrifying pieces - the ones with the big gold studs - but the rest is SUBLIME!! I LOVE that dress in #21 which is a tangle of white, black and brown worked architecturally into perfection, and he shows us what bows and ribbons can do beyond sitting as a big, ugly decoration on the hips or neck!! Take that Galliano! This echoes his ealier HC collection but he draws out so many exciting variations on the theme, like a fashion Bach. This makes a true, dedicated, committed, hardworking genius as opposed to the over-the-hill designer resting on nothing but his own inflated ego and the predictable accolades from his fashion journalism pals. Eat your words, Colin McDowell! Finally, this IS Paris!!! !!!

this is the first time that i like Givenchy,i've never been a big fan for the house. But this time every pieces are beautiful, very delicate cut. I love it even i'm a bit bored of black color

There are pieces and outfits I like, and I definetily see quality in this. Tisci designs like an architect, like someone already mentioned. However, I fail to completely fall in love with this. Maybe I will with time, but we'll see. I will be eagerly waiting for next season collection to see if he keeps this up.

Tisci has done good.
