Givenchy F/W 2020.21 Paris

Absolutely stunning. And I think she putted Pierpaolo and Demna to shame today. No one wouldn't even notice those pathetic collections if you have something powerful like the presentation she gave us tonight.
Obviously it seems like Claire is trying to find her way -I agree with Lola, I was quite exasperated to see too many changes seasons after seasons- but I think she might discovered what she tried to say. I don't know you, but I see a glorious and very well dressed woman here: the opening look and the coat on Jacquelyn J were literally outstanding. This is the kind of old school elegance I was expecting in Paris.
Now you better give us a terrific campaign: no famous people, no silly stuff. Gimme Meisel and a few girls from the show. That's all she need to be taken seriously.

I love some of the details of the clothes, the sleeves, the cut. You need to look closer to find those interesting details and craftsmanship that only happen in "Haut Gamme" fashion. I can see the strong sophisticated women she portraits in Givenchy, but I miss her Chloe's spirit.

Now, question. I always wonder who's gonna buy those trousers ? Because you need a killer body to look nice in those trousers. Also, the products in the shop are way different from the runway. I hope they find the balance to channelling those ideas into the products at the shop.

As I stated in Clare's thread, I haven't connected with her Givenchy since her beginning - and I still don't - but this is a very good collection. If all of her collections were this decadent and put together, I'd be much more of a fan.

The collection as a whole is very difficult to wear. If the silhouettes were tighter, it would have been easier to « read » but as it is like that, it’s hard to sell. It’s mostly big volumes on top of big volumes with big bags. And let’s be honest, even women who have the money to spend on extra long trousers might only wear this for evening...
But the collection has also a very evening vibe. I hope the commercial collection still have the spirit of this.

save for those mixed prints dresses in the middle, this is really great, one of my favorite collections of hers. some looks are stunning and it’s overall very elegant and mature, a rare thing these days

As a champion for Clare, I am overjoy for this collection. It has everything. Drama, glamour, excitement, new silhouette and with such great execution. One thing I noticed is that this is the first RTW collection I feel like it's connected to the couture collections. But I hope she keeps this direction moving forward. Also, I like the bags here too.
