i see so much last season Balenciaga (which I thought was equally hideous), especially with the whole one side tucked in/one side out styling.

The styling and setting really do these clothes no favors whatsoever. This one twitter image looks infinitely better than any of the actual publicity shots.

But if I have to see one more engineered print, I may actually go postal.

the only pieces i can agree on are the coats and jackets... they look perfectly rigid, which oddly appeals to me.

the tees, that dress with the huge bow, those boots (!!!!!).... meh. toss em in the fire and i wouldn't care.

I like the boots and the first three looks are amazing. After that the collection becomes progressively worst. I feel as if the background is attempting to make up and confuse the audience because it is sure much more likeable than the wardrobe.

I can see some touches from SS 2012, FW 2011 (man) and Pre-Spring 2012 collection... That isn't originality.

Those boots made me salivating right at first sight, they make such a fantastic silhouette.

The pieces I love the most are those where he kept it simple and classic, like the black looks on Caroline and Lea.

Terrible, it feels like a uninspired recycling of his latest collections. Seriously, looks like he used some left-over and made this. Plus the the styling is just as terrible and some other designer already made those kind of boots, I can't remember who.

I don't really get all the hate towards this. Collectively it looks cluttered and a bit much but there are some good strong pieces in there. It's a good umm wardrobe? not collection

I like a few of the looks, it brings in some of Riccardo's earlier couture silhouettes but brought back in a very much wearable manner....at the same time, it's a bit too cluttered.....I'd rather it be relatively boring and sharp than messy- for Givenchy at least......

Season wise, its a nice progression...a continuation of Fall '11 and Summer '12 that actually FEELS like a continuation, which is what I feel is the point of a cruise/pre-fall collection...

But as a collection, it relies wayyyy too much on the last few seasons... a t-shirt with a darn dog printed on it and an edited version of the "Birds of Paradise" print from the current season, not to mention the fur trimmed sunnies/cap...? I mean really? Not to mention the styling is just sad...and we have had this background for 2 or 3 cruise/pre-fall collection, time to move on...

He should have scarped the prints, the dogs, the furry accessories from Fall '11. Used more references from SS 12 and then gone from there...because the shapes are nice and the colors work...but this entire "mirror print" trend has got to stop. I can not handle seeing anymore rottweilers! it is driving me nuts...you know that something which started out kind of good is getting REALLY bad when other "higher end" designers start knocking off their peers...i.e. D'squared @ Luisa via Roma right now...

I do like the boots. I think its a much nicer version of the Rick Owensn ones...But the a-symmetric sweater...ugh. gag me!

I like most of it. There is some great pieces and some not that great. the shoes are odd and I don't know how I feel about them. Overall I love the color palette and the tailoring is really well done. I'm not a fan of the gloves either.
