Gloss/Vinyl S/S 07

Saks is pushing vinyl and patent leather for fall that is for sure.

i could adapt this but either on 'pastel or faded shades' or the red version (which goes very well with the new pales)as at the second Marni post

have to agree with Lena on this. The softer tones/colors look great in this and still appear 'fresh' to me at least. The black is all abit too hard for my view on S/S 07. But to each their own:ninja:

I loved Fendi's take on it. Not many people can take strips of silicone and make a gorgeous dress.

Source of inspiration?

I'm not sure how I feel about these looks...

seems like they will make weird noises whenever you move... if that makes sense...

i agree with oana.. i like it on shoes but on clothes it often looks like a trash bag or rubber or something of that nature anyway...

I think I still do prefer shoes, details and accesories made of this material rather than the whole outfit made of plastic. It must get hot to wear a dress made of pvc!

i love patent leather shoes and bags. but like most trends, they look better when they're worn with moderation..

I don't think I've ever seen anyone wearing this head-to-toe at street...

^^ i would agree, I think the looks on the runway are just that--runway and not real life

what are the materials really?

are they really using vinyl, latex...? :o sometimes it just looks like stiffer shiny fabric

Very sweaty, indeed. :yuk: But I think some of the coats would work for spring...showers in particular.

I have a vintage clear raincoat with white polka dots, and I can attest that it is quite uncomfortably warm, esp with the humidity of a rainy day.
