Okay please only post your health & beauty goals for the new year in this thread! I'll post mine this evening when I get home:flower:

Beauty:

- Clearing my skin. I have had acne for years, and I was on accutane from October 2005 to May 2006. It has made a difference in my skin, but not enough. I am trying to get over this in 2007. Nothing seems to be the answer though, maybe it is only time that will heal this.

- Less make up. I have never liked excess make up, but due to my skin I might have slipped at moments. I think I am going to stop using foundation, or use it minimalistically. Maybe this will also improve my skin.

- Moisturizing my skin more in order to get rid of the dryness.

Health:

- I have suffered from clinical depression for the past year, and am trying to work through the causes of that. I am going to make lots of work for my mental health, and hope I will be off medicines in the beginning of 2008.

- Improving my diet. My depression also came with a body complex and binge-eating/restricting. Now when I am more balanced I have gotten rid of the body complex and unhealthy eating habits. I want to make my diet as healthy as I can, I want make sure every bite I eat does good for my body and my mind. I am planning on cutting out red meat and eating fish twice a week.

- More exercise. I haven't been doing any exercise as of late (thanks to depression), but I want to start jogging three or four times a week.

- Less alcohol, maybe quitting smoking. Unfortunately I do not have any motivation or want to quit smoking.

- Maybe start yoga?

1. Stop procrastinating, especially when school is concerned (yes, this is health related. ^_^ Mental health!)

2. Start doing yoga.

This is so important, and something I want to start focusing on as well. I already don't eat red meat, but I don't think I can cut out meat entirely at the moment though I want to eventually. I also need to focus on eliminating snacking on junk food.
I want to make sure I do my yoga on a more regular basis. I used to be very tightly-wound, and yoga helped me release a great deal of that negative energy.

I think these will be hard, so I won't figure out too many.

* Loose 7 KG/15,5 Pounds.
* I have to better all my grades with one grade (if not, i will be sick :P).
* Stop biting my fingernails.

mine is to finally actually do the treatments on my skin that are long overdue...I haven't done it yet simply because I'm too lazy to find a good dermatologist and I don't want to go to just anyone

^ But once you get it going it gets easier :flower:

And I'm thinking of the smoking-thing.

- Go for a dentist appointment
- Apply moisturiser to my body every day

1. Eat healthy
2. Floss more than 3-4 times a week
3. Daily face wash with mud soap
4. Quit drinking coffee (I've quit smoking and nail biting, this should be a breeze...)

1. Try to get some freckles in the summer( I:heart: them)
2. I WANT SHINY PEARL WHITE TEETH!!!
3. lose 2-3kg
4. Staaaaay away from junk food and chocolate

Drink more
Go see a dermatologist
Diet (for health rather than weight reasons)
Haircut
No junk food or snacking

Lose weight so I'll feel better in my clothes and more sexy out of them
Cook at home more than I already do
Take my mulitvitamin and calcium every day
Drink more water, more green tea and less coffee

1. Lose 10 pounds.
2. Work out at least 4 times a week.
3. Be able to run 3 miles without stopping or walking.
4. Eat at least one serving of fruit and veggies every day.
5. Floss more.

Be more diligent in washing my make up brushes and sponges and throwing out old make up instead of accumulating everything (although I never touch them anymore)

Great thread! And some great ideas everyone :flower:
I'm going to start thinking of mine and add them here later

In 2006, I stopped wearing makeup on my skin, my diet became nigh on perfect (lapses aside), my skin and hair improved and I lost some of the weight I gained at university. For 2007 I want to lose the final 5kgs to reach my 48kg target. It is always the last 10lbs that are the hardest so I need to be very disciplined about excercising and not bingeing etc. I need to feel satisfied with healthy food.

Take better care of my teeth. The fact I have cut out sugar should help

Make enough cash to go on a round the world trip (starting in Nepal yay!) which should help with weight loss (the number of people who have lost so much weight backpacking around the far east!) and get a nose job before I have to head back to uni in October.

It is all pretty realistic.

Remember to wear sunscreen. I always forget. January is a good time to start too because even though the sun's not out much, sunscreen still helps.

I have to add this to my list. And since I don't wear makeup often, it can be a while before I realize my brushes are not looking too good.

I hate to disagree with you (again :p) but I would warn anyone unless they live in the Middle East or California and are always in the sun, to be careful about overusing sunscreens. They are lab-made products and without going into this discussion again with thebeautybrains, those are things to be wary off. Better still, stay out of the sun.
