^Well I don't think this label reflects what Hong Kong streetstyle is about but yes, there is an element of tackiness in their streetstyle in terms of the obsession with labels.

Kitsch in ordinary parlance just means tacky, appealing to bad tastes. Now, it more ordinarily means "so bad it's good," intentionally kitsch. Clothes that lampoon themselves.

^ i think a label named GOD is a bit ego-centric and in this case, i don't think it works well. too over-the-top and tacky for me.

No, the label is not GOD as if divine beling.

It is G-O-D. which is (kindof) a fast English way to pronounce a Hong Kong phrase meaning "better living". GOD is mainly a lifestyle store and sells furniture and all sorts of stuff.

And no, this is NOT the Hong Kong streetstyle nor Hong Kong "fashion". Most people who actually buy clothings from G-O-D are foreigners visiting Hong Kong.
I like some of their design, they are playful and kitsch and kind of silly. They took much of the unique Hong Kong scenes, and I like that.

^OMG....(excuse the pun....)....is it really GOD as in the furniture store??? I did not even know they made clothing......err.....I like their furniture a whole lot better than their clothes then......
