Going "commando"

I really don't know how people can go without underwear.

You've got your Lindsays and your Britneys, but even my friends just don't wear their delicates underneath when we go it. It seriously sickens me. My girl friends will just wear their jeans and go to the bathroom and do everything without a pair on.

Sometimes I'll go to bed without underwear. (I read that your "hoo-hoo" should air out in the night, so sleep is the best time to do it.)

Do you? Is there any occassion where going commando is acceptable?

Yeah I'm not sure this is the best category - I would hate to think that going commando is a "trend."

That being said, I sleep naked 99% of the time so I suppose I'm commando then. The only other time I'll go commando is if I'm wearing a longer dress or skirt that is form-fitting and don't want even the slightest hint of a panty/thong line. But that is a very rare occasion. I just can't imagine going commando under something like jeans would be comfortable ...

I can probably accept it under a REALLY form fitting dress, but nowadays there are so many "seamless" options for underwear that it can be avoided. I agree on the jeans argument... I mean what if you get something caught in the zipper?? OW

I really don't like the idea of going commando.
I think i have once, and never again.
The idea of having nothing covering it,even under jeans,is a bit "eurgh" for me.
I don't have any objection to other people doing it though!

Unless I'm OTR or wearing some type of short skirt or dress, I don't really wear underwear. Unlike most people today though, I know how to actually step out of a car without showing my derriere and devant everywhere. Anyone can, unless they are purposely doing it. The only reason I started was..my friend actually did & she told me about it, so I tried it, didnt like it too much but actually tried it again, haha. And somehow I just kind of started never wearing underwear.

I clicked on this thread and starting thinking risk of vaginal yeast infection is probably increased if you don't wear underwear with jeans or pants.... particularly if they're tight/dirty/worn repeatedly without washing. Candida albicans would thrive in that kind of environment. Well i guess the same applies if you're wearing dirty underwear then

It's not such a big deal, I mean everyone has their personal preferences. Of course I am not defending people like Britney or Lindsay, who flash their genitals in public, but many people feel more comfortable without underwear and only they know they've got nothing on underneath.

If you clean yourself properly after you use the restroom then there should be no problem, in regards to your jean statement.

lmao a week or two ago these four girls in my crafts class were talking about this and reached a unanomous conclusion that they would be afraid bugs and insects would crawl in their ~vajayjay~ while they slept, so they always make sure to wear some form of pajamas. It was a highly amusing conversation to eavesdrop on, to say the least.

lmao a week or two ago these four girls in my crafts class were talking about this and reached a unanomous conclusion that they would be afraid bugs and insects would crawl in their ~vajayjay~ while they slept, so they always make sure to wear some form of pajamas. lol. I think that could happen at anytime unless you had some sort of vacuum sealed underwear or pants.

I think as long as you aren't flashing your bits to the world and your bare bits don't end up touching the seat (e.g. wearing a short skirt without underwear, you sit down, it rides up and BAM naked vagina on a public seat) it's fine really.

I think it's a personal preference and if that's what people want to do, that's fine. All you would have to do is make sure you wash whatever clothing you wore while going commando each time you wore it, same as what you do with your underwear.

It seems a bit too much of a hassle to me. I'd rather just wear them and be done with it. The thing is, sometimes I don't like my clothes when they first get out of the wash, especially jeans if they feel a bit stiff. It would be a bit of a drag to have to wash them each time I wore them. But I do agree that if it's what someone wants to do, then let them. Oh and on a last note, I don't wear panties when I go to bed either.

Ah, since we're on the subject, here's a little quick history lesson on where the term commando is derived from:

COMMANDO: A Special Forces Soldier
GOING COMMANDO: *To not wear underwear

the reason for this really revolves around the fact that commando missions are so intense that you supposedly sh*t your pants...thus if you don't wear underwear during a commando mission, you basically test yourself in the attempt to ensure that you don't crap yourself during the mission.

Thus, I'm not ashamed to say that I go commando by whim.

I think its quite unhygenic. Avoid unless the situation call for it. Besides, a nice pair of underwear can be seriously sexy and keeps your privates private. If we even need panty-liners, surely we need panties...
