Goldfrapp

Thanks for the link, Annu, sounds so lovely! :woot: I'm definitely going to LOVE it!

need to hear her cd!! Roisin is winning me with her cd but depends on this cd if she stays at my number one fave!

i hope they expand their us tour to include a few more cities city...perhaps come to atlanta or new orleans....a bit jealous of everybody as they usually go northeast and out west only except when they did SxSW in austin which i am far away from.

fille...been listening to clips.....don't you think eat yourself sounds like velvet underground? the bass drum, tamborine sound with the acoustic guitar. sounds like a great song though. happiness is like feist on acid. i dunno about that one. and caravan girl,i'm not sure of either. the rest actually sound like they will be fantastic. of course only relying on preview clips.

I'm in love with Caravan Girl and Cologne Cerrone Houdini - beautiful!

I love Corrogne Cerrone Houdini too, but I have the whole album stuck in my head. I think my iPod is bored of playing it all the time :p Can't wait to get the actual cd.

i love the way cologne cerrone houdini sounds! i think that will be my favourite.

I'm really liking the samples I'm hearing! Ahh I'm so excited.

i cant really say anything yet, darling, ive promised myself i would only listen to the songs they preview on interviews & such.

but as soon as i do have a listen, ill let you know what i think.

ps. they will be on t4 this friday (i think..?) at midnight? not sure which.
performing songs live & an interview.
ill get all the details up quick ^_^

I just love the entire album! Listening to the full songs over and over settles me! Still love clowns even if I'm not sure that which she is saying!

^something about clowns and blood,i think. at first i thought she was saying balloons but then i listened more closely and it sounds more like blood. but you know that's the way alison sings....kind of clausterphobic, like being trapped in a tiny closet, kind of mumbling and distorted.

you know i know it's sooooo incredibly wrong but on youtube, there are bootlegs being used in videos from the new album and somehow i couldn't keep myself from having a listen to the full songs. i love little bird....cologne cerrone houdini...and happiness really surprised me....when in the preview it sounds like a feist-y song, listening to it fully it takes on a new feel...it's so wrapped in goldfrapp deliciousness

btw, fille, they actually have the performance from t4 on youtube....it was on the 16th. very pretty....loving all the strings.

"Hey Deers

First off, a HUGE thank you to everyone who bought the A&E single and put Goldfrapp into the UK Top Ten chart.

My, how time flies. We are now just one week away from the release of Seventh Tree. Hope you've been down to see the man at your local record emporium to pre-order. If you purchase your copy of Seventh Tree from an indie store in the UK you may well bag yourself a free poster with the album. In the meantime, if you simply cannot wait another day to hear the album, then we have a BIG, BIG surprise for you. If you make you way over to the band's MySpace www.myspace.com/goldfrapp the whole album is now being streamed exclusively for one week only. Make your way over and be sure to tell us what you think.

Lots and lots of stuff on the telly to look out for in the next few weeks. We hope that you enjoyed the A&E performance on T4 on C4 at the weekend, cos there's even more this weekend. Make sure that you tune in and set those DVD recorders...

T4 on C4 - Sunday 24th - to catch a performance of Happiness

4Music Special on Channel 4 - Sunday 24th Feb - at midnight to catch 4 songs from the new album. That's Sunday night, folks. Check your local listings and look out for any time changes (just in case)!

You may have heard rumours and now we are pleased to confirm a couple of European live dates:

Saturday 12th April - Motel Mozaïque, Rotterdam, Netherlands www.motelmozaique.nl
Wednesday 16th April - Casino de Paris, Paris, France www.digitick.com/index.php4?recherche=goldfrapp&x=0&y=0&p=11

And last, but not least, news for US Deers. Visit your local indie shop (from the list below) starting February 26th and get a free A&E 7" picture disc with the purchase of the new album Seventh Tree. This is super-limited and only available while supplies last - so hurry!
Online: Insound (use coupon code 'goldfrapp7tree10' for 10% off)
More news soon.
Lots of love
