she is so beautiful....i adore her!!! she lived such a challenging life though....from her relationship with her family to her becoming princess of monaco...she went through a lot. but that's why i admire her because she's a strong woman. i found so many peculiar similarities between her and myself after reading a book about her.

Ah she's so inspiring when I wish to be simple and understated, classy, 'elegant'.
I heard she was a bit of a snob, though. Although that is probably a rumour perhaps.

I love Grace Kelly but I dont understand it when people say that old movie stars are better than modern ones because they are more elegant. Elegance is a choice -it is a taste. Anyone can be elegant but people often choose different things -they choose experimentation or hipness or unconventionality or whatever. If Grace Kelly lived now, we would find her as boring as we find Gwyneth boring. She just happened to exist within the great studio system in Hollywood's golden age.

Does anyone have pictures of her sisters? They were incredible beauties too if I remember rightly.

I agree with your post Although Grace was probably naturally and instinctively elegant (and of course so beautiful). I do love seeing old stars and history and their times, I think it's kind of rigid and limiting to be as elegant as them Maybe I just can't see many people wanting to dress like that nowadays, with all the other fun things and experimentation. I wild colours and wacky things, but sometimes I feel like going simple and elegant and she's one of my inspirations.

!st timer. Great site! The photos of Grace in glasses (3 photos) were
taken aboard the the US Const. that was taking her and her family and
friends-about 300 people I believe, to Monaco for her impending marriage
to the Prince.
