Graeme Black, head women's wear designer at Ferragamo, has left his post, WWD has learned.
Neither Black, nor a Ferragamo spokesman could be reached for comment.
Black first joined Ferragamo in 2001 as chief women's wear designer. He quit the company in 2004 following the appointment of Nathalie Gervais as the firm's creative director.
But he returned six months later, in 2005, as head of women's wear on a consultancy basis. His last collection for Ferragamo will be for spring 2008.
Black launched his eponymous label for fall 2005, together with business partner Jonathan Reed. An industry source said Black intends to focus increasingly on his own line, and will likely base himself in London. His luxury collection, which is made in Italy, is sold at stores including Saks Fifth Avenue and Browns in London.
Before joining Ferragamo, Black worked at Giorgio Armani, where he was head designer of the Borgonovo collection.
