Liane looks good here but I don't care for the cover, it just doesn't move me.

Her stance, her make-up, her earrings, the neckline of her top, they're all nineties-done-right. The knot in the top and her imperfect hair pull it to the present time. She looks beautiful and strong. I really like the way Grey portrays women.

Emma Summerton and Manuela Pavesi's covers.. as much as they don't resemble the Grey I fell in love with, are probably the standouts here. I could've done without the others, the Rodarte cover is just horrible.. obviously they're trying to reach the same demographic investing on Lula. The cover with Xiao is generic and generally weak (wouldn't know it's a more conceptual magazine- actually I wonder if they still are just going by that cover) and the fifth [main?] one is.. *sighs*.. Valentina really needs to stick to her day job as a stylist.

If the content turns out to be any good, I'll probably order Pavesi's cover..

I find that there is something really captivating about Liane's cover. Her picture looks so timeless and intriguing. The other one's aren't terrible either, but Liane's cover is definitely my favorite. And a lot of the editorials/previews look good. I like that there are so many female photographers in this issue too, rather timely since we've been having a discussion about female fashion photographers on another thread.

Well, you see here are women photographers only !

Somebody should really write something about that subject for here ... Or the NYT ... Because, actually, I have never read anything about it, though this gender subject is everywhere else (arts, cinema etc.) but nowhere to be found in a business we largely named "a woman's business" while it's actually driven by men ...

Yes I bought this issue yesterday and have the previous issue! I recommend buying it, I personally find Grey to be one of the best magazine out there atm.
