I cannot believe how basic these Gucci campaigns have become. The last one I absolutely loved was Spring 2013. Everything after that has been so uninspired & underwhelming.
I actually love the fact that they took a very vibrant colored part of their collection and put it into such a simple in-studio shot campaign. What I am missing here is the sexiness and charisma typical with the brand.
I might be alone here, but I really dislike when images are released without the brands logo!!!
I can't ever get the real feel of the campaign without the logo of the brand in place.
Gucci would forever be my favourite advertising each season but Mert & Marcus had started to produce some very messy productions, so on one hand I appreciate something striped right back to basics. Although I agree with this looking very lookbook. I too would like to see the images inside a magazine with the logo et al. I guess I'll reserve full judgement until then.
