I think these shoes are going to be the big ones for this season.

Jessica Simpson wore the black patent with platform to the MTV awards and in U S Weekly Kate Bosworth has them.

i will probably end up getting the red patent.

yeah the black are dead sexy but i think the red glitter will be amazing.

I like the purple but it might be not so good.

yeah it is when i look at it but when u mentionned its made of ostrich claw i looked at the picture again and i actually could picture THE claw right there and it just made me sick LOL

i am going for the ostrich claw skin shoes for sure. i think they are gorgeous!!

I happened to be walking straight through Gucci yesterday enroute to Lane Crawford innocent: ) and so I asked the SA about the flares. Had absolutely n-o i-d-e-a. However she kindly pointed out that they are having a sale at the moment. I just wanted to see the red glitter flares before i move to australia into the dark, dark fashion world where i will never see these shoes in real life.

morri - the red glitter flares are really pretty IRL. if i had to choose i'd get the red then black then purple. the red is not bright at all (not orangey red) and will go well with lots of fall colors.

i am really liking the flares - but do i really need another pair of black pumps? i'd looove to get the ostrich claw or the red glitters but where i work is fairly conservative... hmm, maybe they won't be so "glittery" irl and i can pass 'em off at work..

they are pretty glittery but not in-your-face glittery. i think the black ones may be a bit dressy for work since there is the gold metal plate going around the platform itself. IMO i think the flares/ostrich are more for going out/parties/etc rather than work.

hah hah no worries drel. a girl gotta have a separate collection of shoes for just work and just dressing up/partying!

seriously, when i saw those shoes i just thought of parties, going out, having fun. they are really fab shoes and are starting to get a lot of press for sure. is there a gucci boutique in new mexico? if you want to reserve those shoes, i can provide you an SA at my local boutique. she's really great. i already told her i am interested in the red flares too even though i did not reserve those. only the ostrich ones.

one thing i can see is, if you really want these for work too, is if you wear a skinny dress suit in all black (with a cute small silk neck scarf or something) and then wearing the black flares. sure the gold will stand out, like any gold necklace/earrings, etc, but it won't be over-the-top and i think it will be appropriate enough for work.
