thanks but they are a bit on the plain side...I was thinking about Mulberry Bayswater, but it is a bit boring also :-)

- should be elegant for everyday work and top executives meetings (I am sales manager for one big company, so I mee a lot of people)
- suitable also for after-work events, not really parties as such, more like formal receptions with work clothes
- I should be able to fit my A4 notebook in there
- should not be glittering-with text "Sexbeast" but kind of smart and elegant
- I wear smart suits with pants/skirts at work, always official look, on Fridays jeans + jacket
- should not cost more than 800 USD
- should not be white

I will be in London next week, I hope I find something from last week of sales. What woud you recommend? Pls post a pic also!

what about something from louis vuittons epi line? this is high end elegance and i've seen them in real life and they are SOOO CLASSY! maybe a st. jaques or alma or jasmin? this would be a great investmant bag too!

yes, Alma could do the trick, the others would not fit a notebook. Honestly saying I was looking at Alma also, but my boyfriend (although he has not much to say :-) ) keeps saying it is old woman's bag! I think I will pop in to LV, and see Alma IRL.

baaah! dont listen to him! my BF thinks my stam looks like a crazy old ladies bag too....but i love vintage and i love grannie chic if done right i had a lady come into my work with a black epi alma and it was SO gorgeouS!! i had like a twenty minute conversation about her bag. it really is just pure CLASSY! reminds me of audrey hepburn or just that french chic style! i'd say go for it! and it will last you until your an old woman. .....so ask your BF if HE could do that...

Which Bloomies did you see it at? The one on 59th street (sorry- I'm assuming you live in the city)..
I'm going to the Bloomies at Short Hills on Saturday--wonder if they'll have it there. I'd like to see it IRL as well before ordering.

I only saw it on the website, HBL... I'd definitely check it out in person before buying as well. I was just at short hills mall a few weeks ago (I'm from Jersey, but live in the ny now) Definitely one of the nicer malls in NJ!

The bag kinda reminds me of my new white bag with the woven details! I actually looked at that one and considered it too. But I'm happy with my first choice.

/\ it really is! and there are so many gross ones out there to pick through! good luck in your search handbaglover! i found a marc jacobs one with tassles at off saks, but it was like a washed leather and i'd be terrified to carry it, at the sale of $700 considering the type of leather would soak up anything.... let us know what you decide!

I agree -so hard to find a really nice white bag..I just hope that Bloomies has it so I can touch /see it. If not, then I guess I may take my chances and order it Saturday night (I want my 20% offD

Funny -I'm originally from NY & now live in NJ :-) And yes, totally agree..Short Hills is one of the nicier malls in NJ - I love it there!

I love the one with the white background. I like the design (wearing it's like saying, "i'm a star!" you know?) and shape. It's cute but young (i'm 14, so yeah.lol.) and innocent. They're $155.00 but I can get one for about $125.00 because i know this lady who has this business where she buys bags in bulk from different companies and therefore gets a discount.

If you don't like it, could you maybe recommend a bag that you think is cute? I need a kinda big one, like barrels and papillons. Oh, and under $200.lol. Thanks so much!
