Spring Bag help Please!!!

I've been reading the threads.. and i need some help.
I want to get a bag for spring, but i dont know where to start!

Im 20, and just got interested in acquiring handbags and such.
Unfortunately, i cant afford all these lovely bags you guys talk about here...
the most expensive bag i have is this coach soho large tote in stone/pool that my boyfriend gave me for my birthday last year for a grand total of 235...

that being said, i can't afford more than that for this spring. does anyone have any ideas for me? i dont want to go to target or something .. (although they do have some cute beach totes..)

I want something that isnt going to be out of style in a month... my taste is kinda all over the place. i like color, i dont want something black .. are there any brands i could investigate? or am i doomed to get my purses at target ?

ANY sort of help would be much appreciated!!

Kind of depends on what size bag you like to carry too...

I mean if you like Coach, which is a brand that gets more flack then it deserves imo, then there are some in your price range depending on the size you like to carry.

Also...I saw some really cute bags at Target the other day, I have quite a few inexpensive bags, because I don't always need to be a label wh*re.

Some of my favourite purses I have bought at Sanrio for less then $30 USD.

Have you tried looking at vintage handbags at say, enokiworld?

They do have some nice ones there which I believe are within your budget.

I have a Tano bag, and Iove it. it's the exact metallic color I was looking for in the high end brands and found it for 120 bucks. I Love all of their bags.

yoox.com will be your best friend: they have a ridiculous amount of bags for under $300 and most of them have that distinctive designer handbag look (attached are two cavalli's and a valentino)

Thanks for the tip! i checked out that tano website, they have a lot of cute bags! i found some i liked.. it sucks though because you cant see the color swatches. the closest store to me (that isnt a barneys 400 miles away...) that carries these bags is this boutique that has only 3 in the place! (On the phone i asked her how many they have, and shes like "let me see here, one, two, three) lol but the lady said she could order one for me.
should i take a chance ? the colors sound great...
