my friend needs a black leather bag, under $300 to carry books around at school. any suggestions?

thank you Vanilla- a belt bag seems a good option as well, however those seem really small!
the show is on the first week on March...only few days to go!

i would LOVE a red and a yellow bag. any recommendations??? not too big n not too small in size. just medium size about 13 to 16 inch length :)

cloud9~ has she looked at the banana republic totes?? there are a lot of nice black bags, fairly simple with nice leather for that price range :)

Hi guys,

I am in desperate need of a hobo but nothing in black. i want something stylish but not over the top with tassels, studs and tons of hardware. can someone make a good suggestion in the $1200 - $1900 price range. i already have a black bottega hobo. thanks.

Balenciaga "Day" with gold hardware :woot: They have really nice colours this Spring ^_^

graduation gift

Hi guys,

I'm graduating from college in a few months and I'm planning to get myself a bag for a grad gift to myself ;) Any suggestions? Budget would be $2000 MAX hopefully less though so I wouldn't have to starve too much the rest of the term. (I don't literally mean starve but just really cut down and save!) Oh and if possible, brands other than LV and Chanel?

Please help? ^_^

I bought myself a Chloe Edith that I am absolutely in love with last month. Not my most expensive buy though because it was an absolute steal! $600CAD. It was on sale... Holt Renfrew. I thought I was going to die. I raced to the last one on the table before a woman behind me could get it. :)

Yeah I think I'm going with a balenciaga! :p I'm thinking of getting a fire engine red one in city ^_^

I'm looking for a day bag that has compartments to keep all my stuff organized. Any suggestions???

In about 2-3 months from here, i will go for a big shoppingtrip and also buy my very first designerbag.

Important things:

Cannot be over around 1,600 - 1,800 $, which cannot be changed, as it's because of what my creditcard actually can "pay". (I'm under 18, so i can't use more than aprox. 1,650$ pr fourth day, which seems alot, i know, but when you're buying something really big, a bigger limit would be good. And there's no way i'm carrying 2k in cash)
It has to be leather
Be worn over the shoulder
Good, last-for-15-years-quality
Classical, yet edgy/different/quirky

So far, i've been thinking of..

The bay by Chloe: I love it, it's probably great quality and it's pretty classic, but in general i think it's around 200 $ over my budget + too seasonal.

A le dix Balenciaga messenger-style: Newly discovered this, but i actually love it + it's very cool & edgy, yet still classical (which i now see thanks to GG ;) ).. My biggest concern is the fact that so many here have an "inspired" or directly fake bag. But then again, one of the men's seem to be more rare.

Bayswater by Mulberry. A very classical and lovely bag, very good quality.. but.. It cannot be worn over the shoulder, which is a huge shame, as it's the cheapest + loveable + adorable.

Classic Chanel medium or jumbo, in grey or purple leather: A lovely style, don't really need to say more, but i'm afraid the medium will be too small and the jumbo might be a bit too expensive.

Soo. Suggestions!!

The chloe bay -- you said it's classic at first but then said it's seasonal. Which is it? :p

I think the only bag there thats suited for a guy would be the balenciaga. I would definatly go with that one! I think theres a dark grey for fall that would be great, and a cool purple too. The fakes will fade evntually but you'll still have your real one.

congrats! I'm so surprised at what Holt's has been having on sale! Today, I saw some 'it' bags which i thought won't go on sale..on sale incl. Fendi Spy (which i don't like), Chloe Silverado, Chole paddington clutch/wristlet, Balenciaga.....

I even saw my beloved Botega hobo on sale last yr....but i ddi't get it....:cry:i so regret...it was 50% off!
