I'm glad there's no Imitation of Christ "couture" this time. :/

I remember that. It was awful.

It was like watching a parade of walking floral bedspreads...

However, I can't wait to see Givenchy... :woot:

no ralph rucci again? that's disappointing...

i'm looking forward to dior...

^ but although ralph rucci no longer shows during couture week he still shows some pieces at the end of his ready to wear show, is sad not to see Jean Louis Scherrer on it, i know his fall collection was pretty disapointing and totally out of tune but previous to that one Stéphane Rolland did great collections for that house, i hope they will appear on it on a new update.
I can´t wait for couture week, haute couture is my favourite form of fashion, last week i saw a 5 episode documentary called "signé Chanel" that showed the whole conception of a Chanel Haute Couture collection (fall-winter 04-05), it started showing the seamstresses finishing the lates orders from clients that had to be delivered before starting the toiles and every aspect of the whole production af the show, karl designing the sketches and presenting them to the head seamstress of their three ateliers, the making of the shoes, embroideries and very special and unknown things (at least for me) about chanel such as the fact that the edges of all the tweed jackets that from a distance soemtiems cannot be distinguished are maid by a very old lady, 130 *** away from paris on her horse farm and her techniques are unique on the world and funny everyday life things from the atelier and specific anecdotes regarding several dresses, for example dewi´s white dress was made first with a golden silk velvet and when finished they comanded it to be re started in white and then re started in black, to be finished in white again and when sewing it the seamstress stitched one of ehr fingers with a needle and stained it with blood that was quickly removed by the seconde d´ atelier, tha collection was finished the day of the show at around 5 am (wich is pretty regular for all collections that sometimes are finished at the backstage), and the first of the two presenttions begun a bit late because anna mouglaglis arrived not on time for it and a more private show on the house of the rue cambon for the seamstresses and some less influential journalist, then the visit of the first clients and it finished with a cocktail celebrating the ending of the collection and the departure of one of the seamstresses who got as a gift a huge floral bouquet and two Chanel bags.
i wish they did a "Signé Dior" one.... and to think that all of that is happening these days all over again.

I am so excited for Dior (as usual). I think it would have been cool to have Dior couture in the Grand Palais, but it seems Chanel has it occupied for that. Oddly enough, I'm actually interested in Chanel couture after the last show. Nevertheless, it will be exciting. I'm ready for the long runway again

I am ready for some Dior

as am I dior couture has always been the standard for me

Actually, that's the entire couture collection he shows then. I'm curious about everything else that's on the list. I don't think last season was the greatest in couture. An average week. Some standouts of course, but I hope the majority will really hit the nail this time...

Shwee! Looking forward to Dior (like it seems everyone else is). And of course JPG because I always follow him.

I get a kick out of On Aura Tout Vu. Did they show last year?

There is a Chanel show at the Grand Palais...:flower:...I am looking forward to Dior, and I loved Anne Valerie Hash's last collection...

Oh i go to Paris on the last weekend , on the 14th....why the fashion week doesn't start on this weekend lol  ....but perhaps topmodels are already in Paris for doing last fittings with designers...:p so if i see Kate Mossor Gemma Ward, i'll told you ;) ....And i also will visit the Louis Vuitton store on the Champs Elysées, and i think i gonna take photos so ....;)

I'm exited for Anne Valerie Hash and Erin Featherston, if she is still doing coture.
