AFAIK The italian one deals with money laundry, drugs and a bit of "normal crime" like corruption.
whereas the Russian one deals with same things only extends into the fields of nuclear weapons theft, heavy involvement in loads of scary business, basically Russia is a mafiacracy it's a long story and very complicated, ultimately very sad for Russians.
