Hollywood actor Hayden Christensen summoned as much of the Jedi force as he could muster, becoming the first person to put his hand print in Sydney's Fox Studios Star Walk.

Attending a premiere for his new film Star Wars Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, Christensen at first had trouble making an impression in the wet cement.

So he enlisted his bodyguard to help push his hand down.

''I'm very excited to be back in Sydney,'' the Canadian actor said.

''It's a home away from home and I'm very thrilled that you all came out for this.''

About 100 fans lined the red carpet as Christensen posed for photos and signed autographs.

Christensen arrived in Australia at the weekend for a short visit to promote the film.

The latest and final episode of Star Wars comes after the movie series began with 1977's Star Wars.

The films have sold almost $US3.4 billion ($A4.3 billion) worth of tickets at global box offices.

In Episode III, Christensen's character, young Jedi knight Anakin Skywalker, is seduced by the promises of power and temptations of the Dark Side.

He pledges himself to the evil Darth Sidious and becomes Darth Vader.

''It's the stuff everyone's been waiting for,'' the 23-year-old said.

the ones with eye makeup in color are from Interview in 2003 and the others from L'Uomo and GQ are from 2002 and 2003...and he only keeps getting better imo

When "The attack of the clones" came out and evyone was talking of Hayden I thought to myself many times "I really don't know what all the fuss is. The kid is OK, but not THAT great"

...Then a couple of weeks ago I went to see the "revenge of the sith" and... "Sith happend" The "kid" had grown and I had to surrender because I had just fell in love! LOOOOOL

... By the way, now Darth Vader will never fright any gril again because EVERYTIME we hear that voice, instead of the usual "Uhhhhhhh" , after this movie we think "ohhhhhhhhhhhh"
