Headgear S/S 07

For the folks twisting a scarf into a turban-esque headband, can you post instructions? Thanks!

I keep seeing pieces on this look, so decided to diy one and am loving it. A Royal blue it makes my eyes pop so it's making me smile :P

i actually bought one from forever21 in brown, it's made of satin. i've only worn it around 3 times tops though! no one around here wears it & i want to wear it out more, but i just cut my hair & i'm afraid it won't work :(

I ordered one off of ebay - I hope it fits (hahaha I have a big head). I can't wait to try it out when I go to Europe - that way I'm surrounded in not-my-regular locale and could care less of what people think.

My friend wore the prada hairband turban knock-off from Topshop and she didn't care that it was a copy or anything, she didn't really know. She pulled it off so well!

I am finally wearing mine out
**no photo quoting, please. **

JESSIE!!! You are WORKING THAT TURBAN!!! Normally, I LOATHE the turbans I see on this site, because they look so hobo with the whole Urban Outfitters-style get-up. But you are looking FIERCE and VERY NYC in that outfit. Don't dress down a thing! The bare arms and decolletage lend a sense of minimalism and sexy to this outfit.

DO NOT dress it down!! Unless you're like...from the suburbs and actually want to look like it too.

NOT that the suburbs are bad!!

I just think they dress funny. Anyway, you'd totally fit in in Soho or France with this outfit. You're fierce and you actually make me LIKE the whole turban trend.

And by the way, I think that fact that there are so many headbands and mere scarves on this thread is proof positive (imho) that this look is nearly impossible to pull off.

Jessie, you did it well. (and please don't dress it down...I hate the whole "living under the bridge" look. :innocent:

#146 Does anyone know how to make one similar looking to this?

Trends just seem to be getting more and more ridiculous. Spandex, gold lame, turbans ... what next?

Hi! Just want to start the headbands as a 'turbant', the thing is that I've lots of scarves but I can't make them look as the headband MKA wore....

Interesting thread.
I like the look of a turban, I think it looks very glamorous-sometimes.
The worst is when someone is wearing a turban and dont fully beleive in what
they are wearing, and a small part of them feels kind of foolish.
Then it NEVER works.

Finally I managed to teach myself how to tie a scarf properly into a nice little turban... i'm so proud! But still i'm lusting after this adorable little headband by Jennifer Behr: headband.jpg (pic courtesy of jenniferbehr.com)

The Rosette detail reminds me of the uber gorgeous twenties-siren natasha rambova, also known as mrs. rudolf valentino. here she is in all her turbanesque glory, 1924: G6QRxO.jpg (pic by russel ball, courtesy of MPTV.net)

I tried a lot of turban looks using scarves. I can't wait to get sick of it  Soon, I promise. Here are some of my looks:

I also like to tie it in this Marc Jacobs inspired by Vermeer paintings kind of way.

I have to get more hats, to let go of the turban look.

I styled this scarf like this for a recent photo shoot I did. I think it works with messy hair...
