i just bought a headband turban thing today at barneys co-op thats like the prada one that the olsens have. i think its like closest turban ive seen to the prada, and it was $50.

the thing is....what the olsen is wearing is barely a turban. it's just like an exaggerated headband. in my opinion. I've seen it worn very well in the 70's but thats it....

well prada did put some real turbans on the runway....but i don't know what they are calling that thing. it is a fine line!

I saw Pradas real turban & dont like them at all. I guess the headband is their way of selling a version to the rest of us. I do love the headband.

i thin kits best done as a large satin head band. persoally, i will use it as inspiration to wear colorful head wraps (as my hair is sooo curly, the headband would look childish vs. futuristically elegant. that would be grat if wearing all black and bright but sparse accesories.
that woman with the yellow turban looks absurd---i much prefer oit translated into minimalistic hats (like the black/white layout)

I love that this has been brought back into fashion, but at the same time I feel that a piece as iconic as the turban shouldn't be worn by everyone. To me it's very much an exclusive piece and I think the majority of girls that are now trying this out is bringing it down.. Maybe that sounds elitist, but it's how I feel.

I love this style! I've been wearing them since I was little. Headwraps/turbans are a huge part of my culture. I really think it's an easy way to class up an outfit if the colors and patterns are subtle.

hmm. this trend is interesting. maybe it'll help those who are ignorant and hatred of people who do wear turbans to stop calling them "ragheads" once everyone starts wearing it? eh..maybe not. those who hate, will always stay that way.
anyway. i prefer the head band way.
i kind of wore a turban like headwear last year.
but it was more like wearing a scarf around your head.
i took a large hanky/scarf folded it diagonally, put it around the hairline,
(i did this while wearing a low bun or ponytail) wrapped it around my head and my ponytail then took the ends up tied it in a know on the side of my forehead.
it doesnt sound pretty when i explain it, but it was pretty cool.

The Prada one, worn as a HEADBAND actually isn't too bad. And i guess Ash & MK would pull off most things.
