i like it, usinga patterned scarf gives the trend a different feel

I bought the turban from Madonna's collection in H&M last night in Kensignton, I think it looks cool actually...it just looks like a hat with a knot in it - do not understand why anyone would find that amusing. Its not like it is a big poofy one!

all i can think of is arabian nights. it will be one of those trends our grandkids will laugh about

ooh I wanted that one as well...how much was it and did they still have some in stock?

^^ I think it cost me £7, its nice actually - I am suprised and the material is lovely. They have it in black and cream, I got the black one by chance because someone put it back - but to be honest they looked like they have all gone when I left H&M on Wednesday night. The cream one was lovely too, which I had bought that also now.

I bought one at thrift store the other day. After a good washing, I will post a picture. I modeled it for one of my coworkers last night, trying it with all of my hair tucked it, but that looked really bad. It actually didnt look too bad with the knot tilted to one side though.

I love the turbans. Manipulating my bevvy of scarves into looking like this is my next fashion homework assignment:
*do not quote images, please. See TFS Guidelines for more info.

I HEART this look and would rock it in a hearbeat if I could figure out how the hell to pull it off! TOO cute!

Unfortunately, this is a look that was born in the elite classes of well-traveled sophisticates that flaunted their turbans on their resort holidays. You can't just wear this with no place to go...otherwise you look stupid. You not only have to have the right couture to pair it with, but also the right LIFESTYLE BACKDROP.

When I go to France, I will try my best to find a reason to wear this.

The one MK is wearing is just a headband not a turban... you could wear that. The actual turban on the other hand would be a little more difficult.

Oh no, I'm talking the actual turban, or the turban-styled headband. Both need to be rocked appropriately or you come off looking ridiculous.

I love a trend, but I understand my limits, and the limits of the trend. Everything is not for everyone...

I completely agree about the turban. I just dont get the headband... its just a headband with a knot on top. They had headbands like that in the 80's. People are just wearing it on top of their hair in the back instead of underneath which I guess gives it more of a turban look but other then that its just a headband to me lol.

i don't really like the whole turban idea.
maybe it's just me but i think it looks awful and weird

^^ Oh God...now, that is a mess!

Thank you for the compliment m'dear, like I was saying in another thread I have not worn it in public yet...but hopefully shall in Central London. I am expecting funny looks! Hehehehe!

I love the turban look! I'm 15, how do you think I could pull it off without looking silly? InnocentFairy you look great in yours!

^oh totally, especially if youre 15! we're young, we can get away with anything!
i want one too but the only problem is tying up my long hair in it! i cant find a good way to fasten one. they look so effortlessly chic on people with short hair!
