Heather Bratton - (1987-2006) - RIP

JR1, anibalenci, those images are beautiufl

for some reason, her passing has really stuck with me. she was only a month older than me. it was too soon for her to go

is anyone else slightly disturbed by the way models.com has handled this? they are a site dedicated to models, and they have completely ignored her. She deserves more than that.

^i feel the same way! they haven't written a single thing about her and they had the nerve to take her off the top 50 models list!

^Third that  It's making me so angry......how can they act like that? :(

ok this is going to sound stupid but for some reason even though i didnt know her or anything i cant stop thinking about it .. its just so horrible. god i ahet being overly emotional... someone please reasure me that im not the only one and am not some kind of freak :flower:

and the whole taking her off the top 50 thing

^it doesn't sound stupid at all. i feel the same way. i have been in a lousy mood all day.
jssy- that is a beautiful picture of her in your avatar

Crappers, that's awful. I feel like such an *** for all the harsh comments I made about her decidedly unconventional look.

May she rest and peace, and my condolescences to her family.

^^ dont feel bad you were only expressing an opinion, you werent to know what was going to happen in the future were you now :flower:

no way..i feel the exact same way.....i didn't know that much about her either, although quite a few of her editorials caught my eyes...she had a very raw talent..she was made to be on the cover of magazines..her bone structure was incredible:heart:

i can't stop thinking about it as well...again, i think it's because she was so close in age to alot of us..it's scary to think that someone can be taken from the world when they are that young...

at least we can say that she got to live out the dream of alot of girls and left us with some amazing images....she will not be forgotten:flower:

I keep hearing the "Here Without You" song by 3 Doors Down over and over again...and I'm in tears! Why her? She was still so young, it's so unfair...

don't feel bad.....you just gave your opinion...you weren't trying to hurt her or anybody else:flower:

Allow me to add my condolences to this thread. I've been so touched by all the posts - even though I was not very familiar with Heather (loved her dark Vogue Italia cover earlier this year, she definitely had the appearance of a star in the making), my uncle died in a similar accident in 1962 in a Corvair. The gas tank exploded, and he was trapped inside. I see that auto companies never learn, and that's sad. It would be nice to know if the tragic death of a young, vibrant teenager with such promise could result in stopping the production of dangerous cars. My sincerest wishes go out to her family, and also to all of her fans who are torn apart feeling like they have lost a friend.

I agree with everyone else that Models.com should at least have the decency to acknowledge this girls death. What is up with them?

^ It's very sad about heather but that George Bush comment made me laugh so hard becuase it's so true.
^haha oh dear:blush:

I really identify with the person who said that this reminds everyone that models are real people...I think some unfairly characterize these young women, most of the time the harshness that surfaces is a product of the public forgetting these models are stylized according to an image, while we all seem to miss that these girls are just normal people with extrodinary looks.

RIP Heather*
I will pray for you and your family:heart:

trust me, you are not a freak. heather was in the public eye, even though we did not know her personally, we still knew her. she may not have been a friend to any of us, but we knew her

this is sad... poor familly... may she rest in peace...
beautiful girl...

Don't worry, looks aren't everything. They don't even come close to being everything. What matters is the person she was inside.

Poor Heather. This will affect us for a long time. I have to admit it's heartwarming to see us all come together over this horrible and unfair occurrence.

 What a beautiful point you guys brought up, that she had a great 19 years and she got to live her dream.
