Heather Bratton - (1987-2006) - RIP

I have a feeling that MDC is reading all this...at least, I hope someone from there is.

Unfortunately I have a sad feeling that all her photoshoots will be dumped:angry:

I have to agree about MDC though.

It's just so bizarre..I recieved May Italian Vogue issue she cover starred in the beginning of summer..and by the end of summer she just isn't here anymore..

Models.com behavior is beyond any morals
I can't agree more. They just took her off like she's never existed, any note about her, condolences, nothing :( Same about supermodels.nl. That just make me think what type of people they are... She was part of models world, their team... If it weren't for Heather and other models such sites woudn't exist, hope you understand what I mean by that.

OH HEATER.... I WILL MISS TO YOUR BEAUTIFUL DARK FACE... AND YOURS LONG HAIR.... WHAT HAPPAND WAS TARIBALLE... BUT WE WILL ALWAYS REMEMBAR U!!!! REST IN PEACE...

Well put. They owe her some kind of tribute.

I'm in shock. You see these models, so beautiful, like an ideal. Yes, you realize they're people, but it doesn't always strike you. Then you see something like this happen, and you realize no matter who you are, life is real. Horrible tradgedies can happen. But you also do have to be touched remembering what Heather did have, the love of so many people, strangers, family, friends. Live is real in that, too.

R.I.P. Heather

I only found out about this through the Freja Beha thread.
I wasn't a fan or anything, but I still feel bad about it. 19 years old, a rising career, and then THIS?! It just seems so sudden. I see her in magazine ads almost every month, and it just feels weird knowing that after FW0607 ends, her face will be gone from the magazines.:(

I'd understand if MDC and others didn't announce the tragic event if it were for family-related reasons of privacy...BUT DID THEY HAVE TO remove her from the Top 50 List and take down all her images as if she didn't exist?

Don't know about other sites, but I was kindly asked by Women Management to remove Heather's pages from supermodels.nl and make no announcement

That's HARSH. Like everyone else, I feel an announcement of her passing is the very least they can do.

Ah...I see...Perhaps it has something to do with contracts and other legal stuff. But still...I wish more could have been done for her.

Wow a day has passed since I'm in still in shock. I wasn't a big fan either but this news has been stuck in my head the whole time. There was always this beautiful melancholy in her pictures that I still find extremely alluring...this is truly a big loss.

That's horrible about all the sites...although I'm sure Women have their reasons for doing so.
It's far from what she deserves but at least there's still us here to give her a tribute and continue to celebrate her work.

My deepest condolences to her family, friends and fans. RIP Heather.

Perhaps the family wanted it all taken down, because otherwise her photos will be splashed on so many more web sites, etc. It is up to them, after all..
I don't think models.com or supermodels.nl did it by choice.

^models.com, as a website that's all about models, they should've mentioned heather's tragedy, that's all they are meant to do, the Top 50 is something else, life goes on and the modelling world is as competitive as always, it's harsh but that's the way it is, it's only business, they cannot keep her up there. :flower:

how tragic! She was so young and beautiful with her all her life ahead of her. sigh RIP Heather.

This is terrible news :(

I just hope her family is doing well through all of this. She will surely be missed.

This is sooo sad!  She was still so young..

RIP Heather!
