Heather BrattonIn February, when I started pulling together details for an article about the comeback of the American model, I chose Hilary Rhoda as the subject.

Although I certainly didn't choose poorly, I always regretted not making Heather Bratton part of that same feature.

It has now been made public that 19-year-old Bratton was killed last week when the hired car in which she was travelling was rear-ended by an SUV after breaking down in the centre lane of the New Jersey turnpike.

According to www.fashionweekdaily.com, in the Florida newcomer's first fashion season "Bratton walked for style luminaries like Chanel, Dior, Marc Jacobs, and Prada. She also starred in this season's Balenciaga campaign and was the focus of Steven Meisel's recent cover of Vogue Italia."

Our thoughts are with those close to her.

VEry tragic, such a beautiful girl. i feel for her family...its always such a hard thing to lose a child but im sure they are comforted to see just how many people love her and will miss her. She will not be forgotten. RIP Heather
