Heather Bratton

hope that one of her photoshoot will be on a vogue as a comemorial.

boho_babe..i think there should be one post on here that explains what happened, immediately followed by the link to the condolences thread. that way people will at least know what happened. or attach a small note to the move over info that you get when you put your mouse over her name after searching for her in tfs. just a suggestion, because there's still people that don't know what happened and that could lead to a lot of confusion.

^I've never seen a picture of Heather smiling... thank you so much for posting that picture, ruthie.:flower: she's adorable

There will never be a model like her. Her look was so distinct and unique. The picture above just shows how gorgeous she was :flower:

She was really quite lovely in her own way... such a unique and strong face :crush:

Okay, must stop looking at pictures of her or I'll start to tear up.

It's okay to cry. I don't see how you could pay her any greater respect. We're all just here for a moment anyway. She was an extraordinary talent, and she did not let it go to waste. She will be missed, but she was a great artist, and her art will live as long as there are still people living on this planet who appreciate elegance, ethereality, charm, and transcendent beauty.

Such a stunning woman... She was one of the best models I've seen in a while

Woops I just realized I didn't source the picture I posted a little while ago. It is from www.usuyama.com.

Heather was so inspiring, so charming, a true beauty. She had the most amazing cheekbones I have ever seen. She will be missed terribly

Clearly it has been filled with tears and somber today. How ironic, since the day was so beautiful. Apparently, the tragic news hasn't reach everyone (due to the nature of the accident? And her identity was postively made either late Monday/early Tuesday--> hearsay.) And to those that heard are still shocked and stunned.

Heather was consistently working. Doing so well. Getting cover after cover. Not too long ago she was in Vogue Italia with Amanda Moore, Gemma, Et al. By Meisel. She was at the height of her career. No doubt she would've been at the NY Olympus Fashion Week this fall.

Heather is the only high profiled model, thus far, that we lost in a tragic accident.

From Associated Press newswired few minutes after the crash

Horrific crash on Turnpike
One person was killed and two others were injured in a car accident on the New Jersey Turnpike in Newark early this morning, officials said.

The three-car accident occurred around 5 a.m. at southbound Interchange 14 when a vehicle crashed into a car that had pulled over to help a disabled vehicle, said Joe Orlando, a spokesman for the New Jersey Turnpike Authority.

In addition to the fatality, two people were burned when two of the three cars caught on fire, Orlando said.

Orlando and state police did not have further information on the victim. The condition of the two injured was not immediately available.

The exit ramp at southbound Interchange 14, which leads to Newark and three more exits, was closed for about five hours after the accident, Orlando said.

^ No one knew. I had seen a footage of the news that morning and heard it about it all morning because it was a major turnpike that leads to and from Manhattan and entrance and exits to Newark International Airport. That morning the weather was bad. Little did I know Heather was the victim.

There was a beautiful french song playing on Heather's website yesterday, and now it's gone. Does anybody know what it was? Thanks.
