Heather has moved up quite a bit on models.com and is no # 37... I wonder what caused the big jump
 
what is miucca's obsession with masculinelooking girls, querrelle, heather, freja, elise, hannelore, and i guess daria is in there becuase she is pretty butch, IMO everyone, dont jum down my throat.
 
I didn' t like as much when I first saw her pictures but she has grown on me ever since. Has she done any editorial work for credible magazines?. She has a much softer look than Querelle jansen so I don' t really get the comparison.

I can' t wait to her in the Balenciaga campaign

Yeah, but at least those girls looked like models. Heather's just everyday icky.

Can't wait! I'm not a fan of her on the runways but she is striking to me in editorials.. thanks for the info :flower:
 
The problem with her is, she looks like she's got zero personality. Too bad, because she has a few really good pics. In my opinion :p

I find it entirely hard to believe that people think this girl is boring. I seemingly can understand the brown hair, brown eyed, American thing that we fashion types have rebelled against, what with the resurgance of Brazillian and Eastern European models as of late. However, I cannot agree with the statement there are many things hackneyed about this girl's look. Models.com got it right with their description of "eyes like sin, and cheekbones like geometry." Heather Bratton's face is hauntingly memorable. Her cheekbones are perfect, and her eyes are entirely smokey and deeply piercing. Not to mention the fact that her body is proportionate and exceptional for this job.

What I don't understand for the life of me is why we need to consistantly defend the models we like on this forum. Granted its all free speech, but, if you don't like a model's look, wouldn't it simply be easier to not post about it rather than work up such a fuss? I just don't see the rationality behind critiquing someone's physical appearence, when these threads are here to celebrate the model and their work. While I obviously cannot disuade anyone from posting such negative comments, I feel like there are far better things to do with your time. Far more productive things, and even more importantly, far more constructive things that do not intentionally devalue a person based on their appearence alone.

Sorry for the mini-tirade, but it really does come from the heart. Not only out of my admiration for Heather, but also out of general kindness. These girls are in an industry where scruntanization about appearence is a given. I just don't think that deconstructive comments lend anything to these threads. Then again, its a forum. An open, free speech forum. So, I guess I'll just have to take my own advice and obide by the rule that if I don't like it, don't worry about it ;)

With a model as different looking as Heather, you can not avoid such reactions. I'm fine with that, as long as these opinions are based on fair criticisms. Something along the lines of "EW :sick: she's gross and awful and hideous and she belongs in a cave" is getting on my nerves, especially if it's a model I really like :p

Apparently Photoshop was acting up, so I redid the colored ones. Green is so passé, ugh :rolleyes:

i love her! but the onmly problem w/ her is that she doesn't look that good w/ a lot of make up on the runway. i'm not bashing her, i think she's stunning naturally... i'd say that's quite a complement. unfortunately she's just harder to work w/:(
