I agree, Frankie too ^_^ it would also be great an edit with Helena, Carmen, Frankie and Isabeli :rolleyes:

Oh yes ABSOLUTELy but I dont know why fashion editors do avoid things like that... so now imagine Heli combines beauty of Carmen, Isabelli and Frankie;-))) and than we ask why she is a goddess;-)

After a life in front of the lens, shouldn't supermodel Helena Christensen have had her fill of photography?

Far from it; she loves being behind the lens, shooting the likes of Bono, Michael Stipe and Robbie Williams

She’s one of the original supermodels, but Helena Christensen is also a respected photographer, noted for her intimate portraits of Bono, Robbie Williams, Michael Stipe and Liv Tyler among others.
The beautiful Helena Christensen has gone behind the lens to photograph some of the world's most famous celebrities

The Danish-born model, 38, lives in Monaco with her son Mingus, seven (she’s divorced from his father, Norman Reedus), but also has homes in Copenhagen and Manhattan, where she has a boutique.

It’s a seemingly idyllic life, but one thing still frustrates her: missing out on capturing an image on her camera.

"It’s usually some emotion that just happens right in front of me and I want to keep that emotion forever.

If I have a camera I can. If I don’t have a camera I beat myself up for weeks and weeks about how I missed it."

I’m the ultimate hippy photographer. I hate digital photography – I hate its perfection because it removes so much of the atmosphere.

Not shooting on digital doesn’t always make me popular, because clients want to see images immediately.

I like to wait to see what comes through the magic of processing. My favourite camera is about to become obsolete. I love my Konica Instant Press. I use Polaroid 655 film as it comes with a negative.

Polaroid images are very special – they have a three-dimensional feel to them. Unfortunately, this type of film is no longer being produced.

It’s such a shame. Other than that I use my Pentax 4x5 and a Leica M6.

I do actually have one digital camera, a Canon Ixus 65.

I find camera phones are incredibly useful, too – I have a Sony Ericsson and a Nokia.

I don’t have a lot of technical knowledge, but I have a natural instinct for what works.

Other photographers stick up light meters everywhere to measure light – whereas I just stick up my hand to see how the light looks against it.

I don’t know much about flash – I generally use natural light.

I will give my assistant instructions like, ‘I want it to have a French movie atmosphere’ or, ‘I want to see longer shadows on the face’"

I spent all my youth working with the world’s best photographers as a model and I think much of their knowledge filtered through to me. Bono is one of my favourite subjects to photograph.

When I was 14 or 15, I used to have his picture on my wall because I was such a huge fan of U2. I always felt his eyes piercing out from the poster with that incredible passion of his.

I first met him when I was in my early twenties and we connected instantly.

He has the most amazing face to capture on film.

I’ve got this wonderful picture of Michael Stipe looking naked and vulnerable.

I took it in the pouring rain when we were sitting on his tour bus.

I turned round with my camera and he pulled his jacket off and his trousers down as far as he could.

Those are moments you can never repeat. Being photographed seemed to terrify Robbie Williams.

So many performers just keep performing for the camera. You need them to drop their guard.

When I took pictures of Robbie he had all this crazy energy, but eventually there was one moment where he became all quiet and it was just his eyes looking into the camera.

I would love to photograph Mick Jagger – I’m fascinated by his face.

You don’t just see the rock star in there, but something that represents an incredible piece of history.

He exudes humour and intelligence. I am working with his daughter Lizzy on an upcoming fashion event, A Night In Fashion, at the Tower of London on June 28, which will be supporting two charities, Fashion Targets Breast Cancer and the Everyman Male Cancer Campaign.

I never felt like a supermodel. It was such a weird moment in time.

All of us girls – Christy [Turlington], Naomi [Campbell], Linda [Evangelista], Cindy [Crawford] and Kate [Moss] – had very different, very strong personalities.

I remember once on a catwalk looking at Naomi and Christy and thinking they looked as if they came from another planet, like divine aliens. Naomi is still one of the best models in the world.

I photographed her just recently and she was great.

There were no tantrums with me, so clearly sweeping up does you good.

I’ve also photographed Kate Moss. She has the most amazing face.

When I modelled, looking sexy was the last thing on my mind.

I would be thinking about bills to pay, planes to take, how I was going to decorate my flat, people I had to call.

When I appeared in Chris Isaak’s Wicked Game video, I was running around the beach supposedly looking all dreamy and sensual – well, the reality was quite the opposite.

I was exhausted from flying and we were on this volcanic beach where sand was burning my feet.

It’s all shot from the waist up because I was bleeding from the knees down.

The finished video looked fantastic, though – so what’s a little suffering?

It’s a relief not to have to worry about how I look.

I do enjoy being made up, but it’s good to be behind the camera and blend into the background.

My most eye-opening shoot was in Peru. I did a photographic assignment where I had to follow Amazon Indians in the jungle.

I was filthy, covered with bugs and bruises – but to me it was a totally glamorous experience.
