Helena Christensen range for Monsoon launches today

helenamonsoon.jpg
Helena Christensen is the face of a Autumn/Winter collection for Monsoon which launches online today. The clothes are all inspired from favourite pieces from her wardrobe and prices range from £40 for a top to £185 for the Dorota dress pictured left. Take your pick from shimmering minis, chunky knit dresses and metallic jeans.
This isn't Helena's first foray into fashion as the Dutch-born supermodel owns a New York shop in the West Village named Butik. She launched the store in 2005 with friend and floral designer Leif Sigerson and went to create fashion range Christensen and Sigerson in 2006.
Another new face at Monsoon is Heidi Klum who takes over from Lily Cole as the face of the brand for Autumn/Winter 07/08.

Black dresses - perhaps better for highlighting one's accessories - turned out to be the prevailing statement of the evening, as fellow honoree Tory Burch, whose new line garnered the "Accessory Brand Launch" award, wore an elegant black halter gown. Presenter Helena Christensen and Lucy Liu, who accepted Valentino's lifetime achievement award on his behalf, also looked stunning in tiered dresses - Liu's, from the Valentino couture collection, featured dramatic, full ruffles and Christensen's was Grecian column-meets-flapper.
