FOLLOWING in the footsteps of Italian actress Claudia Gerini and Cristiana Capotondi, supermodel and photographer
Helena Christensen has been named as ambassador for
Tommy Hilfiger's limited edition bag initiative, which benefits Breast Health International.
"Breast cancer affects women of all ages worldwide and I commend Breast Health International and Tommy Hilfiger for stepping up to the mark to find a cure for this disease," says Christensen. "I am honoured to be chosen as an ambassador of such a worthy cause and initiative."
An oversized Mimosa yellow tote in soft leather, 50 per cent of the proceeds will go to Fund for Living, an ongoing global campaign set up by Breast Health International to support those with breast cancer.
"I am proud to continue our partnership with the Breast Health International through a special initiative that in it's third year running. This limited edition bag symbolises our commitment to the foundation and, wit Helena Christensen, we hope to raise awareness and reduce the effects of breast cancer," says Hilfiger.
The limited edition bag will be on sale at flagship Tommy Hilfiger stores only, from March 2009, at £279.
