Helena Christensen

Goodness ... finally we have got an interesting discussion ;-) and who could even imagine that I would be the topic maker ;-) but some clarifications please! I did not say that Helena generally looks awful, I just said ''she looks deadly tired...''. I would not keep on comparing Kate with Helena... the are different models and I think Kate look good as well, at least, and quite sadly (not because of Kate but because of Helena), she works more than Helena and apparently deals with better brands and contracts... but this is not what makes me love any model... NO... you should know that it is almost 10 years that I am huge fan of Heli and I started loving her when she was retiring from active fashion world, nevertheless, it did not weaken my love to her. She is great and this is the fact... I just feel pity that she does not have good contracts anymore as I think she could work as great as she did before… I think she can easily fit any fashion tend... one thing I would like to admit, she could look better and sometimes I think she does not really care about it…sometimes she is just GODDESS... nevertheless her natural beauty is still quite powerful and sometimes even electric...I don’t even mention anything about her body… it is indisputably and still the BEST… Woooh...

P.S That 1991 outfit? God it was uglyy:yuk: But Helena made it look cool:heart:

believe me, I had not noticed it, you're right, that's an horrible outfit :woot: :o :lol: I was so fascinated with her face that I didnt pay attention to the outfit.

hahaha presumably thats why designers nowadays choose unique looking models over sexy pin up models? :blush: :heart: Hahah so people can focus on the dress..:lol: Joseph thanks for the photos once again:flower:

Cindy, Helena and Claudia, don't they look like goddesses in this pic? :heart::heart::heart: I wish I had that pic bigger, it's a Tv Capture and I don't think it was published in any magazine, there's a similar pic in a Revlon 1995 ad but it's not the same picture :(:cry:

Interview with Helena and Leif Sigersen from The Sunday Times {timesonline.co.uk}

The two of us
Going it alone is so last season. Ruby Warrington asks some of fashion’s most successful double acts why two heads are better than one

Helena Christensen and Leif Sigersen, proprietors of Butik in New York and co-designers for Christensen & Sigersen

Helena: I used to shop in Leif’s antiques shop in Denmark. I remember when I first walked in, it was like walking into my own head, our taste is so similar.
Another time, we went to a flea market in France. We loaded up the van with so much stuff. On that trip, we realised how fascinated we both were with old clothing, and how much it inspired us in our daily style of dressing.
We both get obsessed with the peculiar little objects we find for the store. It’s amazing to be able to trust someone fully when it comes to business. I learn so much from Leif, and I feel like I gain so much from having these projects with him. I think people find us slightly peculiar and quirky, but hopefully in a way that is also inspiring.
When we’re out networking together, we can be lower than pregnant ants in our humour, but that gets us through most tricky situations. When you know someone so well, you have so many insider jokes and ways of communicating, it’s like you’re together in a little bubble.
We are like Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm McLaren, only I’m Malcolm and Leif is Viv.

Leif: I first realised that I could identify 100% with Helena’s lifestyle when she invited me to her house for a birthday party. I think that what makes us interesting as a duo is the combination of her style and my artistic vision. She’s fantastic at dealing with a lot of different things at once, and she has an overview that I seriously respect and admire. I tend to get sucked into a certain problem and can forget what’s going on around me, but I’m getting better, thanks to her.
When we go to fashion parties abroad, we’re in a lucky position because we speak Danish, which is a language few people understand. It’s not that we like being mean, but sometimes people can be very funny to watch

Diamond Star thank you for that lovely article... really nice partnership...
