how long is at the moment the waiting time to get an birkin? is it from country to country different? do you think it goes fast if i would order one in monaco ore in paris?

i dont have a girlfriend right now but i want to buy one for my next girlfriend as a special gift (after waiting if she is the "true" love, haha ) :-)

I think it's different from country to country... first it depends whether the waiting list is still open (that depends on when they open it etc) and how many birkins that country can actually get...you better go a H-store and talk to some nice SA.

just an update,
my bag is back WITHOUT the glue stains (so far) and of course it was free of charge

will order another bag at the end of the month... thinking of a kelly this time around though, tbh much more practical!!!

I just ordered a 35cm togo a few days ago only to be told by a friend that it is REALLY heavy and not worth it! Are there any other materials that you guys could recommend for a 35 since I'm adamant about the size. I need to inform Hermes of my change immediately before it's too late.

How about Cherve (goat skin)? It's light weight and anti-scratch. It also makes the colow POP out nicely. However, a bit more expensive than cow / calf skin. Good luck!

I think its highly unlikely. I can't imagine they really want the brand to become associated with the decidedly unposh Posh Spice Victoria Beckham. Even Hermes family members are only entitled to a meagre 20% discount!

Leyla_M - so did you order a Kelly yet? If so, I'd love to know size/colour, etc. I'll be picking up my etoupe birkin next month and have already placed a July podium order - a red clemence shoulder birkin!

as to free bags.. as much as i hate the idea of hermes wanting to associate with posh, im afraid they are probably loving the press regardless oh well whatever they do i still love my bags even more so because i save up for them one by one, little by little

I think VB has paid for most of her bags and it was noted that David Beckham has purchased some of her bags like the etoupe shoulder one and maybe the croc with diamonds one for xmas and birthdays etc. She does not have like 100's of birkins/kellys, maybe 10 - 20 max.
