Hello,

This doesn't distinctly have to do with that Birkin thread that is pinned so I thought I would start a new one.

Has anyone have their bags restored by Hermes?

I own a circa 1950's Hermes Haut a Courroies in leather & canvas. Obviously it has seen some use, and the canvas is a bit dirty.

So has anyone experiences?

Thank you.

I haven't had a bag restored, but I had my berlingot strap tightened last year. I was in Monaco, and they sent my bag to Geneva for repair. It took less than two weeks, which according to some people is a short time to wait for repair because it can take as long as a few months in other cities.

Hi Incroyable. First welcome :D and congrats on this wonderful new thread.

I'm not sure where you live but I'm sure that the policy might be similar to that in the States. Depending on the severity of the restoration, the bag is first sent to either Beverly Hills or NY to be inspected by their very respected artisans. If it can't be restored there, it's then sent to Paris for restoration. The wait can be up to three months and be sure to bring your dustbag with you during the "drop-off".

The bag sounds absolutely beautiful - I personally love vintage. If I were you, I would trust no one other than Hermes. They have be restoring bags for years...
