No clue if these have been posted before. Who is willing to flash $20,000 for one of these VERTU Signature cellphones? They come in platinum, white gold, yellow gold, and stainless steel. No... it does not bring a camera! I was a bit shocked when I saw someone in Miami with it...

Wow! That is ridiculous!
I thought the Baby (Sh*t) Phat was silly, but this takes the cake....

^ Seriously?! 20K?! Considering how many times I've lost my cell phone and can think of, oh I don't know, like a trillion things I'd rather spend 20K on...NO, I would not buy that phone. It isn’t even that attractive. Really, just because you put platinum on something...

Anywhere from 18K to 22K depending on the material you choose. I also read that the keys on the phone and screen are made of crystal...

Heh. Vertu phones are expensive, but not all of them are platinum. I think you can get one from 4 000 € or something? It's a lot more than I could pay, but what if you have millions? If you do buy the phone, you get services included; you can dial a service center and have them fix theater and dinner reservations in whatever part of the world you're in. I could do that myself, sure, but it's easier if someone handles it...

At Tour-something in Pentagon City they have Vertu phones I was like...what's the point? The phones that they had there started at 5k but they have that services thing which is a nice touch, a cell phone company should add a similar feature. It had better not scratch for that price! And it had better find it's own way home too!

They're sooo pointless Id much have a black Motorola Razr than this.

I always thought that Vertu phones were frivolous, regardless of whatever 24-hour concierge service they come with.

It is really a status symbol.

If I already had my Birkin, my convertible, my sea-view apartment ...a Vertu might probably be one of the things i'll consider next.

Absolutely. I'd never buy one, unless I had everything else... But that's the type of customers they're going for, right?

Feh. That kind of money would pay off my student loan, buy the bike of my dreams, and go halfway toward a nice laptop computer.

Vertu phones are absolutely beautiful. Not all of them ate $20K, as tott pointed out. They start at around $4000 for basic stainless steel. And the leather-trimmed model is really chic, too.

My friend has the $4000 Ascent. It really doesn't seem to be worth that much money when you see it in person. Looks like any regular cellphone, except it has leather and stitches...

Meh. Still not sold.

$4000 would still cover that bike and laptop, and leave enough left over for a decent set of saddle-bags and possibly a protective carrying case for the computer. Neither of which purchases would make annoying ringing noises.

i think they are nice but i would never spend that much money on a cell.
like most of the other people, there are so much more things i would buy with that kinda money. but it's true, if you have everything else...
i read somewhere that jlo has three of those

No way, Never, No how...
**Think of all the shoes!!!!!!!!**
and I've seen much nicer phones as well.

Probably the biggest waste of money I can fathom at the moment.
