Im a big fan of House, and think that the first seasons were the best, I think they screwed up the show when the "team" went away, making House search for a new team. I payed some attention to the show when Olivia Wilde was a regular, but the last two season have been very below average compared to the first ones. IMO

The finale was bittersweet, but I liked it. It sucks that Wilson is dying, so I guess this Thelma & Louisesque finale was OK.

I loved it, didn't see it coming at all. Except what happened to Chase bc I saw it on twitter. The retrospective episode was a nice touch, loved knowing more about the series and the documentary- style was nice too.

The story did a 180 in the last half of the season and this was definitely my favourite of all 8. The story with Cuddy was dreading and I thought It would suck without her but I actually liked it better.

IMO they should've done the whole remaniscing thing gradually, not all in two episodes. But it's nice to see most of the old guest characters coming back.

BTW I haven't actually seen the episode, just read about it, now I want to spoil it for my brother.

i just spoiled myself right there and here i thought i was prepared enough, seeing that i haven't really clued in on season8 because of the abysmal writing and tiresome episodes but that finale is way out in left field. i loved this series so much and House has affected me like no other tv personality ever will but it saddens me how so much in-team turmoil has caused the quality of the show to be sacrificed. perhaps i'll just skip the midseason episodes and download it straight to the finale, give myself a botched closure

Some shows should never end, I mean they just stop making it but the idea of a "finale" is sometimes silly. They feel obliged to build something that sometimes ends up being stupid. House is going to be like Seinfeld, it´s a show that will re-run forever, and the "finale" is going to be silly always. I would dare producers and directors to just HALT and leave the show like that. GREAT closure is great and so rewarding, but it´s not like a movie or a novel where the end is SET from the get go. These shows last a lot longer than anyone dreamed of, so an "ending" feels almost always so prosthetic and weird.... well just my two cents. I dreaded watching that last House MD, and even now I feel bad about it, it´s my least favourite episode, even if season 8 was quite poor.
