I wondered why there isn't a thread on this film earlier, I would have assumed TFS would be all over it, it aired on the Lifetime channel staring Gina Gershon as Donatella Versace, Enrico Colantoni as Gianni Versace, Colm Feore as Santo Versace and Raquel Welch as their Aunt Lucia.

Oh God, this is gonna be one of the hottest messes of the season! Although I have to say that Gina's accent is pretty spot on.

I just finished watching it and thought it was fantastic - enjoyed it from start to finish. Gina Gershon's portrayal as Donatella was incredible, from the accent to the way she walks. I thought the movie was a clear insight into the Versace family and label, bravo Lifetime.

Watched it, and didn't regret either. Thought despite the obvious low budget it was well done, and mostly because of Gina's amazing performance pulling everything in the right direction. She was so consistent. Now i am wondering if i should buy the book its based on, probably my next Fashion book purchase haha.

I really liked it. I'm shamefully addicted to lifetime movies so I was excited to see House of Versayce (showgirls reference!. I think Gina did good as Donatella. The accent was really great and even the way she walked reminded me of her.

Definitely a great movie, very enjoyable even with the obvious low budget. I liked that there were original archival Versace pieces throughout the movie and Gina's performance was very good.

I just have a question for those who have read biographies of Gianni and Donatella's relationship, how close to the truth do you think this movie's depiction was?

I think it was pretty close. They were very close. Always together and Gianni definitely turned to. Donatella a lot for her opinion.
