How Do You Smell Today?

^Nice choice! Especially since its still a little brisk and cold.

I tried out my Youth Dew today; nice, it wears close to the skin, used a few dabs that's all. Slightly different than what I smelled from the Youth Dew EdP in the department store recently. Not as much of a "cola" note.

Odd, I'm sure its 100% real and all just maybe the formulation is a tad different? I get the rose, the "jonquil", a little patchouli. Not musty or "stinky" powder at all, too bad its got such a bad rap. I'm convinced my Kindergarten teacher wore this, though. As soon as I smelled it on my skin I remember how I used to like to smell my workbooks as a child from my kindergarten class because they smelled like this!

ooh! i've never smelled Youth Dew, but after reading a description, i'm interested! how heavy a scent is it? if i recall correctly, there's a lighter "updated" edition available as well. i'm into warmer smells and oriental notes, but there's not much i can wear as an 18 year old without feeling inappropriate..

Burberry - Beat

A lot of scents give me a headache, but this one seems okay (bought it today).

I've smelled Youth Dew several times, and each time has been very different. Once in a sweltering hot store (I think the perfume had turned) and it smelled like the most awful bathroom, powder, musty, urine smell you could imagine. Then a few months ago, I smelled the EdP at a department store and it was rich with a cola note. And the vintage perfume I have is very light, hardly any cola note and for me heavy on the rose and jonquil notes with just a little patch and oakmoss. It's actually really nice for gray, cold spring days. Its not heavy on me at all, so I'm mystified by all the complaints about suffocating "old lady" smells. I only do 1-2 spritzes for perfume or a few dabs, never more.

The updated version is by Tom Ford, Youth Dew Amber Nude. It's no longer sold by Estee Lauder (something about how it belonged to Tom Ford and EL can no longer make it, something like that) but you can still get it on ebay very cheaply and discount perfume sites. I've not smelled it but its gotten rave reviews, people say its lighter than the original. :flower:

VERA WANG Bouquet

I was at a Nordies Event yesterday, they have it every spring known as a trend show. I got the new V.WAng Bouquet ( they pushed the heck out of it) it smells good, not quite in love but I wanted a new fragrance for spring.
When she first launched, I was a like okay stick with bridal lady, its what your good at but of course I found myself flocking to the counter.
Anyone here tried any of her fragrances?

American Cream solid perfume from LUSH (its lovely, smooth and vanillary) layered with Estee Lauder Beautiful. I'm trying to make this my 'signature scent'
