How Much Perfume Do You Apply?

I've always sprayed the scent on the back of my risk, and then dabbed it on my neck...
This is especially beneficial when I'm jogging and running by trash or food-
I just start smelling the fragrance on my risk. B)

If I'm going somewhere special, I would usually do the spray-and-walk thing.

I spray it in my hair, one time if it's Mania (the black one) and two or three times if it's Be Delicious.

Also, I put vaseline on my wrists before I put perfume on them. Makes the scent last longer.

wow ive never heard that before!! ..must try..:D

i was at the bay, and the lady that was help me out with purfume said that if you want other people to smell your purfume then spray it on your shoulders. because its the closest place to anothers nose when walking past them or something. cause if its on your neck, your the one thats getting the big whiff. and also not to spray it on your clothes cause sometimes depending on the purfume, it could stain. so to spray it on your body after you shower.

at first i thought it was cocknbull but then i guess it kinda makes sense right?

great tips!! thanks!!... :flower: oh i will just add a little something... if you're going to spray after you shower make sure you're already dry... cause i've "smelled" cases in which the person smells , like the perfume but it smelled like humidity... not nice..!

For those who don't worry because they've "never had any complaints"...

I have never known how to tell someone they are overdoing it on the perfume, and I am sure I am not alone in this.

I don't like to be seen as intolerant, or have people assume I am some kind of "anti-perfume" freak.

Clearly there are people who wear far too much perfume. I once worked with a woman who smelled like she marinated in it overnight. A friend once told me that if you wear the same scent every day, you stop noticing it and apply more and more. Believe me, it can be obnoxious. Obviously I don't know if any of you fall into this category, but just because no one is complaining doesn't mean that no one is quietly choking.

IMO, a scent should be a whisper, not a symphony. :flower:

And, if any of you have any suggestions for how to tactfully let someone know that they are overdoing it, I'd love to know!

i spray once on each wrist and once behind each ear... so that would make 4 sprays

i spray once over my hair, and i put something on my wrists, too.

i'm nervous about applying too much perfume. tomorrow i will have to sit next to some stranger for 8 hours on a bus ride and i hope it won't be someone using too much perfume like last time.

Well, I am sure that two sprays on the neck and one on each wrist is far from overdoing it. My mum has this cologne (it's a man's, but she won't believe it is no matter how many people tell her that) that she splashes on two or three times all over her body. She puts on so much her coats stink even when she hasn't worn them for a month. I guess I have gotten used to it because of living with her, but I can still smell it on all of her clothes even if I can't smell it so much when I am around her.

I already knew that if you apply the same scent every day you will eventually get used to the smell and stop noticing it, so I don't think I will end up overdoing it. Well, at least I hope not...

I spray twice on the neck, once on the wrists and about 2 sprays just on my clothes...
