she and Ai are my favorite Asians I think

Song is gorgeous, but I'm not really liking the model this post is originally about.

The reason there is so few asians in high fashion is not because people don't want to see them or whatever, it's because asians are tiny. And just for you to realise the extent of tiny, I'm taller then a good 2/3rds of people here and I'm 5'5.

I'm so jealous of tall asians!

A lot of people in this thread have said that to an Asian, that Korean model is quite average looking. It's only her height that makes her stand out IMO.

I agree with this. Also I feel that a loy of Asian gals in general look alike and I find difficulty telling them apart esp those from HK, Taiwan, Japan and Korea. Very few distinctive ones. Mind you, Im Asian myself! Alot of them get surgery to get double eyelids, fuller lips and to make their noses sharper / with a higher bridge to look more western. And they also use a lot of whitening products to get that milky white look. So yeah, I agree with the TFSer who said they wanna look more Asian (sorry I forget who said that )

not necessarily true. i know a lot of asians who's never had surgery and are beautiful. did you know that 50% are born with double lids? i hear that a lot of asians think that people who have double eyelids naturally assume that that person has had surgery. it's not true.

and if they do get surgeries, it is simply not to look more westernized.
in fact, i read an article where a survery was conducted amongst plastic
surgeons, and they said that most people who come to get surgeries want
to preserve their asian look, while enhancing some feautures.

I like her. Very interesting features; maybe even a bit unexpected for high fashion.

People who look "indigenous" or "native" should be given more credit. I'm asian and kinda not too wild about this western-beauty-worshipping some other asians have. :\
