This is so good to see i-D proposing us something new. I love most of the covers, and as much as I love Lara (and her cover), I wish they had stuck to Chen Man's covers. It makes me want to buy the magazine again, I even wish I was in the UK to be able to choose my cover!

Photographs (Chinese girls covers) are really great. I like all of them. Maybe they are not for a magazine cover, but still, very amazing.

The covers featuring indigenous Chinese women are beyond striking, each one has a depth and a story to it that is just aching to be told; and Lara's shot makes for the perfect pre-spring cover.

I like Lara's cover and the Chinese covers, but I find Stella's to be beyond dull.

These new covers are complete useless. They had to over saturate the beautiful Chinese covers with these lackluster ones. Would have been a bolder statement if they excluded these.

Oh they definitely added these other covers for commercial value. It's a shame really because I think it would be a stronger issue if they only had the covers with the asian models. Although, I have to wonder, how much are they really making a profit from? Like how many people buy/subscribe to i-D? I know a lot of us at TFS read i-D but to me it's always seemed like a niche magazine. And as a niche magazine they could afford to take risks, like having covers like the other 12 photographs. But feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
