I just got a pair of Versace heels. They're a tidge too big (although a smaller half size would definitely not fit).

Will heel inserts help?

What about the gel pads for the ball of my foot--will these help me wear high heels for longer periods of time overall?

What kinds do you guys like/use?

Is there a good ebay seller that has good deals (I'm addicted to Ebay)?

Discuss ...

Thanks! :flower:

I sometimes use the Scholl Party Feet gel pads, but I think a leather pad is better if you need to make your shoes smaller.... I never buy this stuff on ebay.

I have been having an issue with a pair of MJ sandals that have a single piece of leather that wraps around the foot (the rose gold heels, can't find a picture). That kangaroo leather has proved to be really stretchable  I've only worn them a few times, and they won't stay on my feet now. I tried the typical pads that the store will give you, and they worked for a couple wearings, and then--same problem.

I was thinking about Foot Petals, which I saw in a magazine, but I've never used them before.

Zarina, when you say a leather pad ... do you know brand names, or can you show me what you're talking about?

I've also thought about having the shoes altered, but I would like to try another insert first. Bear in mind that the shoe is very very open, so it may be visible and needs to look OK. Not like OMG what crawled in your sandal and died

TIA for any & all help :flower:

Here's what I'm talking about--they come in black & buttercup. Anyone used these?

yes. i love footpetals products. they are quite thin so sometimes you need to build them up but I would rather do that than have too much bulk right off. I also like the fact they come in black and other colors.

Thanks, luckyme. Where do you buy yours? If I have to order, can you give me an idea how many I might need to build up to?

buy them at footpetals.com. you can get packs of 3. and here is a 20% promo code they sent me. FPVIPO81

Just wanted to note that I bought a pack of Foot Petals in Nordstrom's hosiery dept--a pair each blk, silver, and nude. I opened them this morning & used the blk pair in a pair of black Anna Sui ballets that won't stay on my feet anymore if I wear tights :innocent: They definitely work, but they also kind of seem to mound my foot up out of the shoe  I haven't tried them on my other shoes yet as it's too cold to wear them right now ...

Btw, the package warned that the shoes must be clean & dry, so to be on the safe side I swabbed them out with a cotton ball dipped in rubbing alcohol ... the Foot Petals adhered well.
