Can i start this thread to consolidate info for those outside the US who want to purchase bags online (authentic not fake)?

Do they ship internationally?
Saks - no
Neimanmarcus - no
eluxury - no
bloomingdales -no
Net-a-porter - yes (internationally)
Mulberry - yes (internationally)

INternational bag buyers , if you have bought online, where did you purchase from? any experiences to share?

I am looking for a fendi spy (net-a-porter has the metallic one but i want the white plain one) and dior gaucho specifically. Most probably will end up store buying I guess. Reason I'm looking online is I had a bad experience through storebuying. bought the mulberry emmy at the Mulberry boutique in Kuala Lumpur (some swanky mall called starwood or starlight something) and then later found out it was almost 15% cheaper to get directly from the mulberry site or net-a-porter, including the shipping fee!

If you have bought from a reputable site that does ship internationally, please do share your information here, thanks.

www.luisaviaroma.com also ships internationally :flower:

So does www.styledrops.com although I've heard of some people having some trouble with them or so..so I'm not gonna tell anyone to go shop there :ermm: But I don't want to make them look bad either, so I'll add that both I and people I know have gotten authentic shoes from them without any problems, just heard of people having trouble with them reg. handbags.. It has been discussed a lot so a quick search for 'styledrops' here on the site will let you know more opinions about the site if you consider buying from them.

Neiman Marcus does ship internationally, although you have to place the order via the on-line chat or by phone.

If the bag you are looking for is only available in stores and not online, it helps also to call the stores directly and ask them to send the bag directly to you.
I have had great experiences buying directly from boutiques in Europe and US, though the European boutiques would prefer wire transfer over credit cards for security reasons.
Another thing is to use a US forwarding mail service for sites that ship within US only.
There are also personal shopping services that will help you purchase the bag online/offline and ship the bag to you for a fee (usually 10% of the total cost I think) - however I find that it is a lot cheaper and more assuring, to get the bag yourself.

hi all, thanks for the replies!

i've checked out aloharag and luisaviaroma.com but they don't have the bags i want (either a fendi spy or dior gaucho), unless i am searching wrongly. also over the weekend i checked out the dior gaucho in a dior store and somehow felt very unimpressed to see it in real life (hate when that happens). but i was right - the store price here is higher than if i purchase online , including shipping (only slightly though, for the dior gaucho that i looked at).

i'm reconsidering neiman marcus, thanks nizlay for pointing out they can ship if you place an order through phone. i will check out styledrops as soon as i can later.

is it possible at all to get an authentic fendi spy through a seller from ebay? does anyone have a guaranteed contact? i don't mind a used one - the issues I have are getting them to ship internationally and the colour i want (i (i don't want wisteria or metallics, only plain and the online offers seem to be mostly all about wisteria, corded or metallics)

i know about US forwarding services, but unfortunately the places i listed above that don't ship state tht (i think most of them did) the credit card billing and shipping address have to be the same.

thank you all again for the tips. if there's anybody non-US out there who purchased a fendi spy through an online store, would love to hear about it.

If I were you, I would just call a fendi boutique in US and ask them to ship it over to you.
Where are you located?
Also, you should check the customs law for your country and find out how much tax they will charge you for bringing in leather goods. (Some, like HK, don't charge anything, and some, like korea, will charge about 20% of the retail+shipping price for tax)
