Interview February 2015 : Eddie Redmayne by Craig McDean

jansson's ed looks very promising...
what's the deal with blonde wigs lately? freja for vogue turkey, now this one.

Love the multi-girl preview! Even Julia Nobis looks good. Cannot wait to get this.

I never cared for Michelle Rodriguez and I certainly don't understand why she got this feature/interview. It's not as though she's got a thriving career.

I know more than a few times I've seen models in the Hommes subforum compared to Redmayne. I think he could have easily been a high-fashion model in his younger days, around the time he was starring in films like Savage Grace and The Good Shepard. Beauty is indeed subjective, personally I find Ryan Gosling's looks goofier than Eddie's.

Eddie as a punk rocker is... interesting, the editorial is much better than the cover. I am hoping he shaves that weird facial stubble soon though, I noticed he had it at the Golden Globes as well.

Eddie
He´s maybe not the typical ´hot´ Hollywood hunk, but for me he is one of the most beautiful men working in the industry today. He has such a unique and simply stunning face. Add his talent and personality (there are not a lot of actors who are more down to earth and adorable than Redmayne) and I can't help but fall in love with him.

What I admire about (American) Interview is that they seem to feature random personalities from time to time. I mean, nothing is ever really random in these publications, but Interview puts more of an effort into bringing interesting imagery of these individuals than any of publications, and I admire that. And that's what I see with the Michelle Rodriguez feature: She doesn't have the cover, and she isn't the main attraction, and I've never been interested in her career, but they still put an effort into giving her a beautiful editorial-- and that peaks my interest in her and makes me want to read her feature.

Michelle looks hot, smoldering and just straight up beautiful.

This is the only fashion ed in this issue BTW, and it's just shots of them in agriculture... picking up fruit...

So basically they're all supposed to be high fashion farmhands? Interesting concept. Mikael certainly expanded more on the idea than Leibovitz, who would usually just plonk a girl next to rows of cabbages. The group close-up is still the best shot imo.

If feels so lazy, why are they all closeup shots? A better look at the scenery would have been nice. Meh.

I really like Commune, except for the wigs. I guess I've seen worse wigs though.

128 pages.

Always been a fan of Eddie's looks, but this kinda leaves me at meh.
Good to have him on the cover, its just it always looks as if Interview has only three colors to use on their covers which are always a mix of black and blue or black and red. When you look at the covers from the last two years it just looks so boring. Make my eyes pop from time to time, please.

Commune is nice. Such strong compositions throughout. A slight tone of Village of the Damned meets Children of the Corn LOL

Too bad the styling is so uninteresting.

that editorial had potential unfortunately the group shots x10 doesn't really work
