Interview May 2009 : Emma Watson by Nick Knight

^Are the eds good as well?
There are just some pics [mostly 1/2 page] as part of the Lanvin/Elbaz interview with Kasia & Magdalena in Paris & Stephanie Seymour in NYC by Glen Luchford. It's taken me awhile to get to this issue in my pile... but it's more about articles than editorials. That's fine with me though!

Stephanie wears Lanvin's vintage pieces, while Magdalena & Kasia sport the next season on the streets of Paris.

I want to give you karma, but I have to spread first. Major thanks for scanning this. The ed looks really good. Stephanie looks great.

^You're welcome! Glad you liked it... I honestly didn't think it was that great in the magazine... but when I looked at the images scanned individually I liked it more.

Here's the full-sized UHQ scans of Emma's edit (minus the super-wordy article).

And here is a UHQ scan of Cintia Dicker's 1-page edit.

++Emma Watson scans by yours truly

++Cintia Dicker scan by Vamp

I know the new team have to make their own mark, but why did they get rid of the rather beautiful title that Baron was using, and instead use a scrawl that reads 'INTERWIEN'.

I know they're trying to replicate the handwritten title of vintage issues, but that had a very sharp V. Baron's title was so sharp it reminded me of a vampire's teeth. I lament its loss, the new one's a bit feeble in comparison.

I agree with Tigerrouge. I don't understand why M/M had to redesign everything. Baron's title version was elegant and modern. Baron and Templer were a great team, what a loss ... let's hope the June issue will see editorial improvements as Joe McKenna officially comes on board.

This and the 2009 Teen Vogue editorial are my absolute favorites from Emma. I can't wait to see what we get this year. :D
