having followed dutch fashion for 15 years,it's really interesting how she's sort set herself apart from that typical almost calvinistic aesthetic we've seen. she's very bold in an ostentatious way...kind of the embodiment of mcqueen in the 90's. forgetting about the hype,there's a lot of technical prowess in this that you can appreciate. her work isn't the most commercially viable but it's kind of nice in this day and age when so many are holding back creatively,this one has certainly been very fearless.
It's the same basic shape always, with over the top embellishment. Except for the second coat, I don't see clothes, just "crafty" attachments. It looks like some sci-fi fantasy costume for the likes of Lady Gaga, not terribly interesting. Never understood the hype...
Ah! Exactly how I feel! Looks #4 and #5 look so... unreal. I would adore to see what they look like from different angles-- it is a visual masterpiece.
A very innovative and leading collection, I'm overjoyed to see something new and different in haute couture this season.
