Just call him the male Martha Stewart. After launching an affordable department store line and an amicable talk show, Isaac Mizrahi now takes on the magazine business with
Isaac’s Style Book. The biannual title is edited by Erica Kawalek, with creative direction by Peter Buchanan Smith, who holds the same position at
Paper (and a Grammy Award for designing the cover art for Wilco’s
A Ghost Is Born).
Included in the first issue of
Isaac’s Style Book are an essay on making your own jeans and an article on the perils of dinner parties. The magazine also has plenty of fashion features, including a behind-the-scenes look at Isaac’s new collection, and a feature called "Hairography," where retailer Linda Dresner chronicles her life in coifs.
