I've Got My Eye On This

Its a Kate Spade but the only problem I have it that you cannot close it all the way.


How could I carry it without pick pocketers getting to it?

Looks like there is no way to keep them out.. it's just an open top.

i think u could get a zipper top put in...if you really like the bag that much...

I was thinking about the zipper too but it kind of takes aways from that open top beach bag look, which is what I liked about it.

I think Kate Spade has some much cuter stuff that is still breezy and informal and good for summer. Last year she had some mini-picnic baskets that had a drawstring gingham lining that tied shut at the top. It still had the free and easy look, but you didn't risk losing your wallet, keys, makeup, ect if you had to run for the bus. They may still be on offer--it was a very charming design and I expect they were popular.

She had some adorable patent leather lunchboxes, too, that I totally coveted but can't afford. SO cute! I really, vastly desired the red one. So shiny, so red!

That's it, and I really like it. Kate Spade is so awfully twee, but I like her stuff anyhow. Maybe I should go bid on one of those bags. That is the kind of price *I* can afford!

The ones I had seen in the shop had a plaid or gingham lining, but it was otherwise made just like that. *covet*

Well, if I get outbid, I am not going to weep, but if I do get it, I will be pretty stoked, since I need a purse anyhow. The one I have is horrible--fake leather, brownish-black, scuffed all to hell, hardware tarnished. It's dreadful, but I have yet to find anything I particularly want to spend any money on. Saw some cute stuff in at Target, but haven't actually got up the gizzard to blow money on some silly, trendy, cheapo bag that will probably fall to bits in a couple of months, anyhow.

Anyway i got a bag similar to that one where the bag wont close fully, its very annoying when try to fill it up with a lot of things and the fastening keeps on popping open.

my mom has that same bag (loved the handle) and had the same problem but she's handy with the sewing machines and made a bag for the inside made out of stiff nylon and put a zipper on it. it fits right inside the bag perfectly and it doesnt detract from the look at all

i dont' think you would want to ruin the look of the bag by getting a zipper put on it. If it has one of those interior zipper pockets, i'd be sure to keep my valuables zipped in there and wish for the best. it's sucha cute bag!
