J Lo disses Jessica Simpson

She usually plays these down-to-earth, sweet little girls and always, always fails to convince me.

as i find her a natural sweet little girl, she always convinces me ^_^
she gets lots of these roles and makes it difficult for me to see her as a mean character (as in Dallas now). i'm not sure if she's a good actress, but as far as "sweet little girls" go, that's her thing IMO.
:flower:

WHile Jlo is definitely not a well established actress, it would be wrong to say she is not talented. She IS. She's not like award-winning talented, but she still is better than Jessica simpson. At least when I watch her movies (selena, enough,...) I see more than just boobs and pout and airhead phony like Jessica.

I don't care if JLo insists on Dame Judi Dench as her costar, the only JLo product I go for is her lingerie, and cut-rate at Marshall's or TJMaxx at that. Damn fine underwear, I might add. Even moreso after you cut the funky "JLO" logo off it.

Meryl Streep couldn't make panties finer than this.

Have any of you ever seen Out of Sight? I think its the best movie JLo has been in and she's pretty good. Its one of my favs, and plus, George Clooney is in it

The Cell. She was good in it. Other than that she always plays the sweet girl that can be anyone's wife role. But she does it well.
signed on that.

Im bored by Jessica Simpson...and her sister and her husband...uh i wish they go back to what they were b4 that stupid reality show...Z list celebs

Let's put it this way: J.Lo sucks as an actress, but Jessica Simpson sucks even more!:p

It's basically watching Jennifer on screen for 2 hours trying really hard to make you believe she can act but in the end fail miserably because it is still the same high-maintenance, I'm-a-million-times-better-than-you, J.Lo.

I know! Like that one movie where she's this sad little maid...yeah right, her face cream alone could pay my bills

My mom loved her in Enough...though I think it's just cause she likes seeing mean men get the crap beat out of them :innocent:

I hate how she tried to pull off that whole Jenny from the Block thing. She did not grow up in the slums by any means, and I had a nun as a teacher in H.S. who taught her and she said that J Lo was "not a nice girl" and this is coming from a nun! Sorry, J Lo and Jessica both bother me.

How funny, and true. Thank god. I thought I was the only one who was not impressed with her acting skills.

I loved Enough only because of the little cute girl and the hot husband. J.lo did a decent job but she's still meh in my book.

That has got to be one of the funniest things I've ever heard. No wonder I'm scared of nuns. They seem as sweet as candy but they still intimidate me.

I liked Jlo in Selena, the Cell and that George Clooney movie.... Out of sight? Though lately she has made some really poor choices and I don't blame her for not wanting Jessica Simpson in her film.... she is even worse that Jlo I think!

I wouldnt want Jessica S. in my movie either. She isnt a great actress, all she can do is walk around in short shorts, say a few lines here and there and thats it.

Actually the 'one good performance' of J.Lo's I was referring to was "Out of Sight". It's a great movie she did with George Clooney. I can't really sit through other movies of hers; I've had to try because of friends/family members who inexplicably like her.

^ I doubt that J Lo would have a problem with Scarlet. I bet she just wants a serious actress. Being in a movie with Jessica would not help her career much...and after her last few movies, she could use some help!
I don't think that matters for J Lo anymore....she made a serious film with Robert Redford and Morgan Freeman in "An Unfinished Life". Now if anyone's carreer has been affected it should be Robert Redford and Morgan Freeman, because J-Lo was in the movie.....:p :D

Jennifer Lopez can't even act, nor can Jessica Simpson. They should give the part to someone who's a real actress and who can act - and not Jess.

A Dallas movie?! :woot: :buzz: I  Dallas (watched it this morning on TV!) and I will SO see the movie!

JLO has no reason to worry and should have let Jessica (or whatever other "Starlet") come - she is the REAL Diva and nobody would manage to steal her show! Go JLO! :flower:

Aw, I thought J.Lo was cute in Monster in Law and the Wedding Planner.

J.Lo was an actress before she became a singer (anyone remember her from the movie Jack, where she played Robin Williams' teacher?) and a dancer too. She went to dance school and auditioned for roles in music videos and movies - basically, she worked hard to be where she is, without family support (her parents didn't approve). That makes her way better than Miss Jessica "Pampered Since I Was 14" Simpson. Jessica's parents have sheltered and spoiled her so much that she's just a whiny brat now.

Team J.Lo all the way (though I don't like either of them).

And you can't blame J.Lo for not wanting Jessica to be in the movie. I've seen Jessica act twice - Dukes of Hazzard and on That 70's Show. She cannot act unless it's in a dumb blonde role.

Good that she turned to singing ;)

I love her as a Popstar but I think she can`t act - but that doesn`t matter in this case: Dallas doesn`t require acting-skills but total diva-behaviour and that`s natural for JLO :flower:
